We had a wonderful experience at Margaritaville in Lake Tahoe and the highlight were the people that work there including Andra, Veronica in reception and hospitality at the front desk as well as Ann and Brad in the JWB steak and seafood restaurant. They are demonstrated exemplary customer service and were all the highlight of our trip.

NOTE TO HOTEL MANAGEMENT: if you are going to require VALET PARKING ONLY, then VALET PARKING needs to provide INCREMENTAL VALUE to SELF PARK. VALET PARKING at HOTEL DOES NOT WORK! And it never worked for me during my entire visit. VALET PARKING FAILURES: FAILURE #1: We arrived and there we had THREE DIFFERENT VALET ATTENDANTS??? WHY? -So many valet attendants just creates CONFUSION! -1st Valet Attendant who greeted us did nothing. He just stood there for 4 minutes after I opened the trunk; so by this time; I decided to start taking the luggage from the trunk into the luggage cart; and he WATCHED ME do it; and SAID NOTHING. And didn’t bother to help. -2nd Valet Attendant shows up; and he took over and was helpful and placed last remaining luggage into the luggage cart. However then, he DESERTED US during check-in and said that yet ANOTHER VALET attendant would show up to take luggage to our rooms. HUH? -Is this HOTEL POLICY Or?? (Can it be updated so we only have 1 Valet Attendant assisting us?) -3rd Valet Attendant shows up, and has no idea what luggage goes where and to which room. So now we have yet another valet attendant helping us; however it SEEMS SO UNNECESSARY to have to engage with 3 different VALET Attendants. FAILURE #2. I called in the AM to have the car brought around; and there was NO ANSWER for 10-15 minutes. -I finally got someone on the phone who said, cars are only brought to front of hotel from parking garage via a face to face request in the LOBBY. VALET PARKING does not ACCEPT PHONE CALLS only in PERSON REQUEST….. HUH??? HOTEL MANAGEMENT: can you please change POLICY so you can accept phone calls for Car Valet requests? FAILURE #3. I finally go downstairs to Valet window to request my car; wait in line; finally I go outside to retrieve my car (which is ALREADY PARKED OUTSIDE) and there are no VALET ATTENDANTS IN SIGHT! -My car is parked and locked; so I can’t get in…..and there are no VALET ATTENDANTS around; so we have to stand around waiting for someone to show up (Again, VALET PARKING is INEFFICIENT!; I would have had my car quicker with SELF PARK). FAILURE #4. I request my car and girl at Valet window mentions “it will be 10-15 minutes” so I step back into the hotel for a few minutes. I come back out in 10 minutes and STILL NO CAR. There are 3-4 Valet Attendants outside and all of them have DEER IN HEADLIGHTS expression. No one has any IDEA on status of my vehicle. Finally; a VALET ATTENDANT mentions, “I brought your car around and since I didn’t see you outside; I took you car back to the parking garage”. So now I need to request my vehicle again. And I am back in the line again….. HUH? NOTE to HOTEL MANAGEMENT: if I request my car, it means I need my car for the day. And standard across all US HOTEL is to simply park the car in the front until customer shows up. FAILURE #5 Computer system DOESN”T WORK. -I lost my valet ticket and Valet at front window asked for my name and room number so they could locate my car and ticket number. -Valet at front desk said “based on your name and room number, there is NO RECORD of you having a CAR here at the HOTEL” (despite being same Valet attendants who had assisted us previously) WHAT??? -I told the Valet “don’t you remember me? You are the same Valet who has assisted us with our luggage the day before”. -I even gave him $20 as a tip the day before; And now the VALET ATTENDANT didn’t remember me. NOTE TO HOTEL: please tell employees to work on remembering customer names and faces. I could go on with more VALET ATTENDANT FAILURES but don’t really have the time. FAILURE #6 FAILURE #7 FAILURE #8 HOTEL MANAGEMENT: again; if VALET PARKING IS MANDATORY, please ensure that is provides an INCREMENTAL VALUE vs SELF PARK. HOTEL MANAGEMENT: can you please check all PROCEDURES to determine what lead to the issues/break-downs in above 5 Failure examples? HOTEL MANAGEMENT: Is it possible for all VALET ATTENDANTS to wear headsets? This way, they all can communicate better with each other? HOTEL MANAGEMENT: I would suggest having a VALET PARKING SUPERVISOR at all times so they can track progress of a car request across all the phases? 1. Call comes in? (was request documented? Request received?) 2. Who was assigned to bring vehicle to front of the hotel? (any delays?) 3. Was car delivered to customer? (was it marked complete?) 4. Etc; 5. Just need a Valet Parking SUPERVISOR to address any BOTTLENECKS / JAMS / ISSUES in the process Read less

Parking is $35/day, no self park. Bathroom has no counter space, no water glasses (they don’t provide glasses), and no towel racks. Bathtub is long and deep, difficult to climb in and out of and no grab or safety bars are provided. Keurig and about 6 k-cups provided but only 2 paper cups. There is a light over the utility sink and counter but no switch to turn it on, so you need a flashlight to see the climate control box on the wall. There are lots of outlets for charging devices and several different USB ports for charging. The bed is ok, not nearly as comfortable as the beds at a Marriott. Breakfast not available Sunday and Monday. The Landshark Grill has good fish & chips, their entire menu is in the $20’s. The other restaurant is very expensive. The rooms are spacious and there are 2 large screen TV’s. Located at state line next to Harrah’s, lots of small shops and places to eat and of course casinos within walking distance. The only way to provide feedback is here, no suggestion forms provided. I was told I could give feedback to the director but there was no info on how to contact him/her. Read less

Great Location, Just simply terrible service & professionalism. Large rooms but you can easily hear everyone around you. Do not expect any of your requests to be heard but they will charge you $102 a day for parking and resort fees. The food, don't bother. I wouldn't say it's the best kids-friendly hotel. At least for toddlers.

Great Location and Vibe. It’s an old embassy suites that they have outfitted relatively well to a Margaritaville Resort. Harrahs and Harvey’s are right next door. Sports books were disappointed, but loved the Lucky Beaver Bar. The restaurant at the top of Harrahs was awesome. Base Camp Pizza was solid
