EDITION West Hollywood

West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Virgin rating

The hotel

Sunset Boulevard is known for it's glitz and glamour, dining and nightlife - so the West Hollywood EDITION certainly fits right in. With it's sleek design, rooftop pool, delectable dining, and late night music, you'll be living the film star life here. Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. With music from all genres, you can dance the night away.

I think I’ve found my new favorite hotel in West Hollywood, folks. Sorry, OneHotel, but The Edition West Hollywood has raised the bar—and yes, I mean that literally. I think I’ve found my new favorite hotel in West Hollywood, folks. Sorry, OneHotel, but The Edition West Hollywood has raised the bar—and yes, I mean that literally. From the moment you arrive, you know you’re in for a good time. The lobby feels like a hip living room you’d actually want to hang out in, complete with a cute bar, a lounge area with a pool table, and an outdoor fire pit that just screams “Instagram me.” The staff? Impeccable. They strike that perfect balance of being friendly and helpful without being annoying. Now, a quick heads-up: this place is popular. The bar is packed, and trying to get an Uber/Lyft or retrieve your car from valet can feel like waiting for concert tickets. But, hey, that’s just the price of being the place to be, right? The one reason this review isn’t getting the elusive fifth star? Soundproofing. Or, should I say, the complete lack thereof. I could hear my neighbor sneeze, cough, soothe their crying baby, and every bit of street traffic that West Hollywood has to offer. You’d think a hotel in one of L.A.’s noisiest spots would’ve thought of this little detail. Still, I’ll be back for sure—just maybe with earplugs in hand. Read less

We had octopus, duck, and chicken tacos. All were very good. And the guac was outstanding. And for breakfast I had the porridge, which was great. Service at both restaurants was top notch. I stayed in a King room and it had a small balcony that was nice. The rooms are very neutral in color and clean with sharp lines. It is an open concept with a very large barn door that you can close if you need privacy in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the room had every thing I needed. I appreciate having an iron and ironing board in my room so I don’t have to ask for one. I worked out the morning of departure and the gym was very clean and had new equipment. They also have refrigerated towels to use that are very refreshing. Overall a very comfortable stay. Staff was great. I would definitely stay again. Read less

This hotel was over priced trash. Our bathroom had no shower head just a wand and a cheap plastic shower curtain. I’ve had better bathrooms at Comfort Inn. You would think paying over 1k a night for a room it would be better. The “city view” balcony faced the other side of the hotel so no city view only building. Not to mention they drop a… Read more

Quite possible the BEST hotel we have ever stayed in! All I can really say to summarise is ‘WOW’ My husband and I came as part of our honeymoon for a long weekend. Every single detail was so carefully thought of and executed so well. From the beginning: - The lobby bar was amazing (drinks and service there too was fantastic) - Check-in was fast and seamless - Our room was unreal, super clean and so much nicer than we had expected (even better than the photos) - We had a drink in the lobby and then went up to the rooftop bar - exceptional views, food, service and drinks. A must visit. - We went to the rooftop pool (which is nice and chilled, had a bit of a vibe) again, service, food and drinks were superb. - The management have it so right here - Bre and Charlie have got a great team. My husband and I have travelled the world and stayed in amazing places, but would always lack something. The West Hollywood Edition has it all, thank you for quite literally the best vacation and stay of our lives. It will be hard to top! Can’t wait to come back and stay. Also, the location is amazing! So close to everything Read less

I love EDITION hotels and this one was no different. I’m Titanium with Bonvoy and applied a NUA to this stay and got a meager upgrade to a terrace room on the 6th floor. The room had the classic Edition understated elegance that I’ve come to love. I stayed in several different 5 star hotels on this long work trip and the Edition, hands down, had the most comfortable bed and nicest linens. I spent an afternoon at the rooftop pool and food and beverage service was great. Very relaxing. Everyone from valets to front desk associates were very friendly and service minded. A first class stay. I’d love to return one day and try out the amazing looking spa. Read less
