EDITION West Hollywood

West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Virgin rating

The hotel

Sunset Boulevard is known for it's glitz and glamour, dining and nightlife - so the West Hollywood EDITION certainly fits right in. With it's sleek design, rooftop pool, delectable dining, and late night music, you'll be living the film star life here. Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. With music from all genres, you can dance the night away.

Not sure why this hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program. I am Ambassador Elite, the highest level they have. In all three times I stayed there, my status was never acknowledged once. Room upgrade requests were not even offered, let alone did they even try when I asked. The staff also seemed like they were doing me a favor by staying… Read more

The hotel is nice, but this is specifically for my man Alex! Alex was our bellman taking our luggage. We changed rooms 3X and he was awesome, and then he went above and beyond and send us a special comped gift to our room, completely on him! Amazing service and a true professional. The best of the best when it comes to his role! I’d be back… Read more

We stay here because of the location and rooms more than anything else, I would stay here again as its a good hotel, I just don't think its great value for money but my wife loves It so we'll carry on using points, i most definitely would not use my cash on this hotel as it would def fall short of my expectancy. If you have a lot of points like I do, and you accept it as a freebie, it's a great place to stay, if i was paying for this hotel each time i'd expect it it be at least $100 less a night. Read less

Overall, this hotel is excellent and undoubtedly one of the top choices on Sunset Strip. The rooftop and the rooftop pool are fantastic, and the rooms are quite nice. However, I have a couple of concerns: the breakfast at the hotel is quite expensive, and the overnight parking fees have recently increased, with slow valet service. The highlight of my stay used to be waking up early (6am), heading upstairs to watch the sunrise while enjoying a coffee and a Danish. Unfortunately, the hotel has discontinued this service. Finding coffee at 6am in LA is a real challenge, and this change significantly impacted my experience. Additionally, the pool doesn't open until around 9am, which disrupts any morning exercise plans before heading to my meetings. These factors reminded me of how important it is to have a good start to the morning when staying at a hotel. Read less
