In the centre of Mammoth village, close to shops, bars, restaurants and the gondola. The gondola will whisk you to the mountains in less than 6 minutes (operates mid-Dec to mid-Apr).

206 condos in 3 buildings, over 4-5 floors. All with balcony, full kitchen, satellite TV, DVD, telephone, complimentary Internet access, alarm/clock radio, hairdryer, iron and board. 1-Bedroom Condos have 1 king-size bed and a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 4 adults. Please note that rooms have heating in winter and, in summer, open windows let in the cool mountain air (rooms not have air-conditioning).
2-Bedroom Condos are as above but with 1 king-size bedroom and 1 queen-size bedroom, plus a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

We stayed here for one night and if honest, we only booked it to break up our road trip from Death Valley to Yosemite. But we are so glad we stayed as we absolutely loved our apartment! We had originally been booked by our travel agent into the Westin Monache but they moved us to the Village Lodge after some sort of issue at the Westin and we are so glad they did as we just thought the Village Lodge was perfect! We left our car at the front of the hotel while we checked in and were met with a friendly warm welcome at the front desk. The reception guy (could have been Antonio? Working on 2nd October?) gave us an upgrade to a 2 bed condo and took the time to explain all the facilities at the resort. He guided us to the secure car park beneath the hotel. We were so pleased with our room (sorry I forgot the room number!). It was huge and although not exactly a modern property, it was so homely and really clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We then set about to explore the hotel and found so many facilities - an amazing cinema room, full launderette which came in really handy for us as this was in the middle of a several week road trip. We went to use the pool and the lovely warm hot tub (some other tubs were undergoing renovation but it didn't affect us at all). We needed some help from reception as the launderette is operated via an app, but the app wouldn't register - a known issue with non-US phones apparently so it needs changing really. But he couldn't have been more helpful to get a work-around for us. He then recommended places to eat for dinner. The room didn't have a safe which would have been nice if it had. The room had a ceiling fan which kept us at a good temperature. We barely got to see any of Mammoth Lakes itself as we had to leave quite early the next morning but we just wish we could have stayed longer here at the Village Lodge and we are now considering coming back during ski season so we can enjoy more of this hotel. Don't hesitate to book.
