I was here with a friend for a 2 day tradeshow at the hotel. What I didn't like..... a. I have limited mobility right now. The show was not close to any of the rooms, but mine was one of the closest. Problem was they have stairs only. NO ELEVATORS!!!!!! I had to take a long way with ramps to get my stuff to and from the room to the show… Read more

Problem was they have stairs only. NO ELEVATORS!!!!!! I had to take a long way with ramps to get my stuff to and from the room to the show area. b. My friend said the food offerings were limited and expensive at both of the eateries. What I did like....... a. Staff was professional and courteous in the face of my complaint above. b. Convention area is massive. c. This is a throwback to when I used to travel with my parents in the 1960's. I like that. Room was quiet. Beds comfy. Bathroom a little dated, but had warm shower water. d. Pool area looked really inviting. Families seemed to enjoy it. Read less

I was originally going to give this place 2 stars and say "It's not terrible, but it's far from great" but as the day wore on... yeah, it's actually pretty terrible. The AC doesn't work very well, and even cranking it up seems to do nothing... the room is stuffy and kind of muggy. (And all rooms look right out onto the parking lots!) There were… Read more

The AC doesn't work very well, and even cranking it up seems to do nothing... the room is stuffy and kind of muggy. (And all rooms look right out onto the parking lots!) There were no seats available at the pool, which was packed to the gills with screaming kids. I wanted to get some truffle fries at the "Bubbles & Bites" promotion at the Postcards restaurant, but nobody was there -- not a person in sight -- to help out or take orders during the entire 4-6 duration, so we just gave up and ate over at thr Town & Country hotel next door (which puts this place to shame! 500% better for like 30% higher price.) Then we came back with leftovers, but I couldn't put them in the fridge because the fridge isn't working (it's actually WARMER inside the fridge!) On top of that, the toilet seat doesn't stay up, and the mattress feels cheap with lumpy, uneven springs. There is no way this place should cost what it does. Breakfast isn't even included in the $150 price! It's so bad that we are considering canceling the next two nights and going elsewhere. Read less

My son and husband got to enjoy the pool while I sat comfortably watching them. On arrival at this hotel there was such a severe noise issue caused by a large group of teenagers staying at the property. Several guests were complaining and security were not able to manage the problem. Staff at the hotel agreed we could have a refund for our stay as they were not able to provide a resolution to the issue (the teenagers were staying across all 3 buildings so an alternate room wouldn’t have made any difference). Staff advised this refund would have to be made by booking.com as that is where the reservation was made. However booking.com cannot provide this refund as the staff at the Handlery hotel have not responded to many requests made by booking.com over the past 5 weeks to process this! I have also sent multiple emails to The Handlery hotel which have been completely ignored! It was hugely inconvenient to have to leave this hotel and find alternative accommodation at the time and it is extremely disappointing that the Handlery hotel have failed to acknowledge this and provide the refund!!
