Great location to the beach, walkable. horrible pillows bring your own! I was not prepared for how much they are going to nickel and dime you. Don’t remove your towels from the pool area. You will get charged $75! You also might want to reconsider ordering drinks from this location. If you’re planning to bring a car keep in mind that the parking… Read more

Hello, we stayed at your hotel about three weeks ago when our family came to town and it was absolutely wonderful so when our other side of the family decided to come for the fourth, we decided to book your hotel again. We booked three rooms for two nights Friday and Saturday and everyone at check-in was amazing. Our rooms were very nice. Then we decided on Saturday to rent a cabana at the pool. The cabana was amazing in a great location and our kids have a lot of fun. The problem came when we got waitress who was absolutely horrid. We had walked up to the bar with our friends and family to order a beer when the guys were walking back to the cabana, she proceeded to scold them as if they were telling her she was a waitress and basically that they had no right to go to the bar to order alcohol . From here it just got worse! I feel if you spend over $400 for a cabana you should not be treated this horribly ! As San Diego business owners we would never treat our customers like this! She was mad if anyone got drinks or food elsewhere! .copy this is her choice I do not understand . We felt very degraded and like children who can't make their own decisions . Once she was getting off her shift she proceeded to ask us 4 times for a tip. She didn't deserve one but we tipped her anyway with the hope we could complain later so this doesn't happen to others . After she left the next waitress that we've got was absolutely amazing very nice very attentive, but never pushy or degrading! I hope that this makes something happens so that other people don't feel the way we felt we had a group of about 12 people and everyone of us was degraded by her at one time during the day. Read less

The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay is a beautiful property and guest service is consistently exceptional. The location is the best in Sand Diego. Food service and dining options are fantastic and the chef at the Red Marlin is top shelf. The staff at Mission Bay is why I stay there regardless of where my business meetings may be.

While it has some aspects we appreciated, overall this hotel is crowded and dirty. What we liked: The food at both on-site restaurants was pretty good. We enjoyed the fire pit for roasting s’mores and games on the lawn. The lobby is nice, the staff are friendly and helpful. What we didn’t like: No room service. The rooms are acceptable, but not clean in the details like baseboards and seating. The pool should be the highlight of the hotel but is way too overcrowded. The entire pool area is so filthy as to be rendered unenjoyable. My boys, who went in the pool, were grossed out by the hairs on them and haziness of the water. It’s simply sees too much traffic and lacks regular deep cleaning. We had hoped that the pool area would have been sufficiently scrubbed down in the many, many days we were there, but alas, it was not. I discovered that they offer online day passes to the general public, non-hotel guests to access the pool and reserve the amenities such as the cabanas. This is a disgrace to their guests and is probably why this hotel feels low status and crowded. The cabanas had dirty seats and filthy coverings, ours had a hole. People were swimming in full street clothes and eating while swimming in the pool with plates on the poolside edge. This is not a four star facility, it is barely a 3. Lastly, the parking at $50 a night is more than we’ve ever paid across 100+ hotels. We will never stay again. Read less
