The hotel

In a hillside woodland setting close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park, Rush Creek Lodge offers warm, friendly service and a wealth of activities. You can hire a bike, enjoy a yoga class, relax by the pool or play a game of bumper pool! Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

This is a really nice property right outside of Yosemite. It still takes about 45 minutes to get to most trailheads but it is worth the drive. We had a two bedroom villa with my husband and two teen daughters. This was perfect. The girls had twin beds and we had a king. We wasted for three nights. It was comfortable, clean and convenient. Very nice pool and hot tubs. Good food. It is quite expensive, especially the food and gift shop. Also the laundry room only had one working washer. This made doing the loads I needed to do a bit inconvenient. It was coin laundry. For the price you pay, laundry should be free. Read less

Still shocking to me that places like this have such an absurd cancellation policy. Had car issues and couldn’t make the stay. ZERO help on rescheduling. Instead of being an advocate to the place I’m now strongly opposed. I’d come back, spend money etc, but after their incredible lack of hospitality I have zero interest in staying here or… Read more

Tyler was a great guide and gave us great information about the history of the park and what we were seeing. He was very inviting and answered a ton of questions about the park and gave us some great ideas about what to see by ourselves the next day in the park. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Tyler as your guide. Lori was also… Read more

For the prices you pay, this is definitely not worth it. The rooms are rundown and in bad need of repair and cleaning. They do not have central heating/AC in the rooms, and their WiFi is practically nonexistent. Also be aware if you are mobility challenged and placed in an upstairs room, there isn't an elevator. Also, you will need to traverse many stairs and steep walkways down to the main area of the resort, as the only parking is by your room. You are stuck eating at their restaurant as nothing is nearby and it is poorly run and has very slow service, with exorbitant pricing. Because they are so close to the park, you don't really have many options, but be prepared for what a stay here is really like. Read less
