The hotel

Buckland is home to some of the best restaurants, shopping, art galleries and nightlife in Atlanta, an is one of the most affluent and trendy communities in the area. If this sound like you're kind of vibe, then the newly renovated, sophisticated Whitley hotel puts you in a great location to explore all of this. If you're staying on a Saturday, we highly recommend trying out 'Tipsy Tea' at the Trade Root restaurant within the hotel, where you can try gin infused teas alongside your classic finger sandwiches and teatime bakes. The restaurant and lounge is great at any time of day though, and you can even enjoy some live jazz music whilst sipping on a cocktail on select evenings. When you're not enjoying the food and drink on offer, book a treatment in the spa or relax in the sauna. And if you really want to make the most of the hotel's facilities, upgrade to a club room to enjoy the additional benefits of the lounge - hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evening?! 507 rooms and suites, across 22 floors, all with air conditioning, WiFi access*, safe, 37” flat-screen HDTV, coffee/tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and bathroom amenities. 

Standard Rooms have either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Deluxe Guest Rooms have either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Grand Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people. 

One Bedroom Executive Suites feature a separate living room with pull out sofa bed, 1 and a half bathrooms, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people. 

Club Level Rooms and Suites include access to The Whitley Club, which includes complimentary buffet breakfast, light snacks throughout the day, hors d’oerves in the evening, and selection of wine and beer 5-9pm. 

Trade Root Restaurant & Lounge (southern-inspired cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner). The Lounge (adjacent to the trade root, serving drinks and quick bites, with live jazz on selected evenings).

Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square are literally across the street. AM ARTA station is an easy walk down Peachtree; another is down Lenox. The hotel offers limited limousine service. When the family stays, we reserved an executive suite winter an adjoining double queen room. This gives us a common room during the day, two and a half bathrooms, three tvs, and three proper beds with a surprizingly comfortable sofa bed for the night. Everybody stays happy. All members of the staff I've met awerefriendly, polite, and helpful. A special shout out to AJ on the front desk with her unfailing humor, Anita and her competence in maintenance, and Elena (sp) who is a bright spot iat night n the Club Lounge. Read less

Even the best hotels have issues. The question for management is how you handle them when they happen. We checked in this evening (6/22) and found a dirty toilet and pubic hair on the robes and towels. Hair happens but the toilet? So I wonder how dirty everything is? We checked in this evening (6/22) and found a dirty toilet and pubic hair on the robes and towels. Hair happens but the toilet? So I wonder how dirty everything is? I went to the front desk and asked for cleaning supplies so I could clean the bathroom. The never apologized even after they could not gain access to the housekeeping room to get the supplies. I waited for about :15 min for them to figure out how to get into their own storage room. Still no supplies for me to do their job. They did offer another room but never apologized. Read less
