Hotel looks a little dated, like a converted embassy suites, but our room was very nice.
Front desk staff needs some improvement. Did not explain the daily credit (against food/beverage as well as gift shop) and as a result lost first days credit. Front desk staff not as friendly or attentive as other Marriott properties.
Valet parking staff (which is actually a 3rd party vendor) was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Maybe recruit them for front desk positions?

Sheraton Grand Downtown - Have been a regular guest at this hotel and have stayed 4 times in the last 1.5 years. What stands out for me is their exceptional service at the library bar restaurant - Staff here is very welcoming and kind. They have a limited menu but they really take personal care of the guests to make sure everyone here goes out with a positive experience. Especially James and Brooke who make sure they customize quickly to meet your requirements. Hotel needs more people like them for sure. Their front desk staff does need some training on Customer Service, especially if you have been a regular guest here and coming after 30 hours of travel, their swipe machines not working at check-in and they don't even have a Supervisor/Manager who you can speak to address. Every single time i have stayed here, there is a issue with the checkout as their machines decline international credit cards - worst nightmare for any traveler. Irony is that their issues have continued repeatedly in my last 3 trips here which the hotel should look at fixing, if they position themselves for international travel. Same credit card works perfectly fine in other hotels in US. Comfort for me is the location which is close to my workplace, descent rooms but they don't have mini fridge here, beds are comfortable. I still would recommend this hotel with a hope that they will fix their issues at the front desk in future.

The staff here are the friendliest people and always trying to go out of their way to assist. The hotel itself is very clean and rooms are spacious. The location is excellent as it is only a few blocks from Broadway and if you don't want to walk, the golf cart is always available for not only drop off but pick-up as well. The food at the restaurant is amazing - especially the Picnic salad. This hotel resonated the friendly Nashville environment and I would recommend it to anyone going to visit this beautiful city!

I had a great stay and really enjoyed the well above average hotel gym. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and really appreciated that there was complementary cold beer waiting for me when I checked in. Vaughan went out of his way to be especially helpful. I will stay there again in the future.

Great service! Very friendly staff as well! Close and convenient location! Breakfast was excellent every morning and the cleaning service was outstanding. The room was tidy and the beds tucked with clean sheets everyday! New towels and complimentary water bottles as well!
