The hotel

Enjoy an aloha-style welcome at the award-winning Outrigger Reef. You can take in the stunning ocean views, relax among the Polynesian canoe art and soak up the sun by the pool. In need of some peace and pampering? Look no further than the elegant Spa — we recommend the traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. But if you like to be more active, why not set sail in a catamaran (keep your eyes peeled for spinner and bottlenose dolphins) or enjoy a paddle in the surf in an authentic outrigger canoe. If you prefer dry land, amble along the Waikiki Beach Walk promenade, stopping at a café on route, or take a hike to Point Leahi at the summit of Diamond Head. Back at the hotel, you can grill-your-own hand-carved steaks and fresh fish by the beach or dine poolside at Kani Ka Pila Grille, as you watch the live evening entertainment.

Where is it

Overlooking beautiful Waikiki Beach and steps from Waikiki Beach Walk, a new and exciting promenade packed with shops, cafés and restaurants. Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium are both around a mile away.

Hotel information

635 rooms on 18 floors. Rooms and suites divided between the Ocean Tower and Pacific Tower, with a private balcony available in most rooms. All with air-conditioning, 55" smart TV, JBL Bluetooth LED clock radio, USB charging points, WiFi access, bathroom amenities, hairdryer, and safe.

Standard Rooms offer limited city views, with either 1 king-size bed, 2 queen-size beds, or 3 double beds, sleeping maximum 5 people.

Resort View rooms offer views of the Honolulu skyline and mountains, with either 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed, or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Partial Ocean View Rooms feature 1 king-size bed plus a sofa bed, or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Pacific Tower Ocean View rooms feature 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people. 

Ocean Tower Ocean View rooms feature enhanced views of the Pacific Ocean, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Club Oceanfront Rooms feature either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people. 

Club One Bedroom Suites offer views of the Honolulu skyline and mountains, featuring a separate living room with sofa bed, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Club Ocean View Suites feature panoramic ocean views, separate living room with sofa bed, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Club rooms include exclusive access to Voyager 47 Club Lounge which offers complimentary breakfast, as well as drinks and appetizers in the evenings.

Aloha! My lovely vacation was nothing but amazing! Amazing resort and staff! Excellent location! The Outrigger is amazingly beautiful and inviting and a breath of fresh air. The alfresco lobby lounge is amazingly welcoming with plenty of comfortable guest seating with coffee tables and beautiful fiber art and beautiful modern floor lamps. The newly renovated space is a seamless work of art. It is light and bright and breezy with everything flowing seamlessly throughout. The concierge staff was amazingly welcoming, warm and friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, and professional. Madeleine, Ambrose, Frank, Rick, Victor, and Regine at the front desk were outstanding with their hospitality and service. From the Bell desk: Deemer, Andy, Ian, Patrick, and others were super amazingly friendly and helpful and always very polite and hospitable. The Valet service was amazingly exceptional. John was amazingly helpful and very friendly and hospitable. The 47 Voyager Lounge was amazing with plenty of delicious food and drinks, and snacks. The 47 Voyager Lounge staff was amazingly outstanding. Frank and Jamie were the super host and hostess that made everyone feel welcomed and special and comfortable. Theresa, Shyla, and Karissa were the super wait staff. They were always super friendly and smiling and happy and worked tirelessly picking up dishes. The alfresco dining area is amazingly beautiful looking out to the beautiful sea of blue calm ocean with a warm tropical ocean breeze. The room was amazingly exceptional. Expansive views from the original Outrigger Reef to the beautiful blue ocean with a music stage, restaurants, 47 Voyager Lounge and pool in between. The Housekeeping staff was also super amazing and friendly, and hospitable. Housekeeping service was always impeccable with extra amenities and a lot of little thoughtfulness to detail to make your stay extra special. Tip: Enrolling for the Platinum Membership totally elevated our vacation to the next level! We got a beautiful spacious corner room upgrade with a huge balcony overlooking the poolside! At the 47 Voyager Lounge balcony, we got to see a sea turtle and a seal on separate occasions! Overall, I had the most wonderful time with my stay at the Outrigger! It was the most wonderful and amazing vacation ever! Thank you everyone for all your beautiful Aloha smiles and hospitality and service! We had the most wonderful 10 days at the Waikiki Outrigger Reef hotel. The whole experience was fantastic but our absolute favourite thing was the free daily activities in the cultural centre. Highly recommend a stay here. The gym is well equipped and all the staff are very friendly.

There is no beach at the hotel but on the right side at 3 min walk the beach was perfect. We ate two times at the restaurant the Mai tai is the best of the Island but the food served is little pricey. We… Read more

Mary in house keeping provided my family and I with the best customer experience. Our room was always well cleaned including great scents everyday. Mary took great care and attention to the needs of my family. I would highly suggest if you are staying at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, that you ask for Mary! -Mr. Fox

Mary our host was amazing. Resort was super beautiful very welcoming. Mary was very attentive. We felt very welcome and at home. There lobby ,pool and rooms were clean and and always ready to use. Great atmosphere! Highly recommended . I enjoyed my stay
