The hotel

Enjoy spectacular all-oceanfront accommodation and world-class service at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, one of Waikiki’s most desirable addresses! Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbour and Pacific Ocean are second to none – make sure you’re around at sunset, because they get pretty breathtaking around here! What’s really unique about this stunning hotel is the five-story base that this hotel sits on which is home to restaurants, an open-air lounge, lobby, shops, everything you need for the perfect holiday. If you’re a golf enthusiast, things get even better – the 27-hole course set on Oahu’s sunny Ewa Plain, is the only one of its kind in Hawaii. Enjoy a complimentary shuttle service to and from it courtesy of the hotel and a meal at the Bird of Paradise restaurant, open for lunch and cocktails. If you’d rather be pampered, a trip to the Yamano Day Spa is recommended, specialists in ‘aesthetics’, this relaxation technique will chase any lingering cares away! Dining is varied with plenty of options on offer, kick-starting in Reef Lounge perhaps – Waikiki’s newest contemporary lounge serving great martinis.

The first time my husband and I stayed here was for our baby moon in March of last year. This year we returned for another baby moon/summer family staycation with our 1 year old, 5 year old, & 8 year old. Both times we had the privilege of being greeted and checked in by Pamie who is so sweet and friendly! I’m 38 weeks pregnant and it was extremely enjoyable for all of us. We were blessed enough to be able to check in about two hours early with an upgraded room! The view of the Friday night fireworks from our room was absolutely amazing. It was so nice that my growing family did not have to share the view from the pool deck in the wind with other guests to watch it. But the pool is perfect for families, the infinity pool is beautiful for couples, and the jacuzzi is great. The live music was awesome! The ladies from the Hinana Bar going around and servicing pool attendees were very attentive and kind. We love the food and drinks at Honolulu Coffee Company downstairs in the lobby as well as the ability to get any snacks or refreshments from one of the two stores. But both stores have cute gifts and merchandise. What I didn’t enjoy this time around but did last year was the Japanese/Sushi restaurant! Must try. Thankfully we were so close to Ala Moana- we had lunch at the food court before checking in and I also had to run over to Target because I under-packed diapers! My husband even took the kids on a walk to McDonald’s nearby, and we realized that Red Lobster was in walking distance, too, so we plan to eat there next time. All this to say, there will obviously and definitely be a next time! We love Prince Waikiki :) Read less

The staff was very kind and accommodating - when we checked out before heading to our next island, one of the staff members provided us with a list of recommendations of places to see and eat. The only possible complaint you someone could have is that it’s not directly on the beach, but about a 5 minute walk to the Hilton lagoon area. There are also no balconies, but the windows open wide and make you feel like you’re outside anyways. A wonderful stay! Read less
