The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

I thought the hotel was clean, beds comfy and location excellent for the price. We were attending a conference and thd location perfect. The rooms did need a little more light and the air conditioning was noisy. lots of places to eat nearby and the strip on your doorstep.

My hotel was nice and clean, quiet. I think that they need more lighting In the hallways though. I give it a 10 out of 10. Everything thing that I needed was right there in my hotel or just a step outside of my hotel. I never had to go far for anything.

Everything is super ridiculously expensive. Not a good choice if you are traveling on business or don’t want to be price gouged on literally everything. I will never stay here again; totally not worth the money. For the money they charge, you can find much better options.

Stayed here for a few nights and chose this hotel due to its location and because it looked newer and more maintained in photos. The best thing about this hotel is its location; it was great for walkability all over the strip. While the general aesthetic and decor of the rooms is nice, the cleanliness and overall maintenance leave something to be desired. There were several large holes in the bedding, the bathroom sink would backflow and fill with a smelly ash like substance, several light bulbs in the room were burnt out, the bathroom had random hairs still stuck to the shower curtain as well as strange greasy smears one of the walls and light switches. Staff at the front desk seem rather unfriendly and aren't willing to help. When inquiring about the availability of cabs early in the morning, we were told there wouldn't be any available outside the hotel at that time. When asked if a cab could be called for us, we were told to do it ourselves and the employee seemed inconvenienced that we then asked for a cab number to call. The resort fee is ludicrous for what little (if any) services you actually get. $45/day essentially only gets you a spotty wifi connection in your room. You can't even go sit by the pool as a guest without having to make a paid reservation. The hotel pushes for everything to be done through kiosks so there's essentially no customer service provided. Other hotels at least offer more amenities for what they charge. While the location is great, I would avoid staying here again given the state of the rooms and lack of customer service. Read less
