The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, Public House, and The Buffet at Luxor. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

Stunning place for an affordable rate. We booed our last night in the US in this resort and I have a memorable experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower is spacious . I would highly recommend the restaurant Tender Steakhouse , it is absolutely fabulous ( the food, the wine and the mango sorbet outstanding!!!!) .

Booked with a group of friends for a 7 night stay from 12th-19th November, travelling from Scotland. Having done a bit of research before arriving, I was admittedly skeptical. It’s fair to say that the Hotel doesn’t have the greatest reputation given some of the Horror stories in recent years and its seemingly out-dated decor. However, having completed our stay, I can honestly say that I had the best time at Luxor. For what we paid, we got everything we could possibly have wanted and more. PROS: - Excellent homage to Ancient Egypt - Vibrant atmosphere - Quick and responsive service from staff - Great variety of Casino slots/tables - Good selection of F&B outlets/bars - Mattresses are extremely comfortable - Views are incredible from room (I had views of the mountain and Mandalay Bay) - Large and convenient bathroom - Fantasy show in the Atrium was excellent - The lobby smells incredible - Connects to the Mandalay Bay next door via Luxor Casino/Mandalay Shoppes - You can use the Mandalay Bay swimming facilities if you’re staying at Luxor - Within walking distance of the world famous Las Vegas sign - Tram that takes you over to Mandalay and/or Excalibur CONS: - Hallway balconies are waist height and could prove extremely dangerous if intoxicated, faint or off-balance (I’m 6’2 and stayed a couple of floors below the top of the pyramid - I kept myself as close to the walls as possible). Parents would also have to keep a keen eye out on their children to prevent climbing. - The convenience stores scattered throughout the hotel are extremely expensive. I’d recommend collecting your items at Walgreens on the strip. If you’re looking for an affordable yet equally rewarding Hotel for your next trip to Vegas, I would highly recommend Luxor. Definitely experience it for yourself before favouring the negative reviews. Read less

Good location, room was clean and seemed updated. Decent view of Mandalay Bay and easy to walk to everything. Felt very safe, checked in and out online with no issues. Had breakfast there and waiter did seem like he wanted to be anywhere else but there.

After six months of reading daily horror reviews of this place on the build up to our trip from the UK my expectations were low. However i was pleasantly surprised at how great we found our stay. Yes its tired and could do with a bit of an update, but room was clean and large. Stayed on 19th floor of the Pyramid and had no problems with the red lifts..all four worked and barely had to wait for them at all. Waited 2 minutes at check in desk (hotel was quiet until Friday when it got busy). Found all staff helpful and polite. Cleaners great. The best shower i've ever had at a hotel and will miss it. Asked for late check out which they gave me for $40 to leave at 3pm which was invaluable. Advice to UK travellers.... 1. Bring a travel kettle / coffee 2. Get SIM2Roam which gives u unlimited data/calls before u travel (worth it) although Wifi was good. 3. Get Uber App 4. Use the tram to get last stop past Excalibur and walk from there to centre strip Read less

Friendly staff. Lots of choices of restaurants. Dealers on the blackjack tables were super friendly and the pit bosses were very helpful since it was my first time playing. Clean rooms. The elevator was an experience all it’s own as it goes up at 39 degree angle.
