The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 4 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

I absolutely love the Rio in Las Vegas. The recent renovations have made the Rio Hotel incredibly comfortable and sleek, plus they offer free parking, which is a nice bonus. The pools are fantastic, but what really stands out to me is the gym—it stays open until 9 PM, unlike most gyms in Las Vegas that close at 6 PM. The wireless internet is lightning-fast, which made it easy for me to conduct Zoom meetings without a hitch. The spacious rooms, complete with mini-fridges, HBO, and other premium channels, are a major plus, and the housekeeping staff is top-notch. If you’re a World of Hyatt member, you’ll appreciate earning points and credit for your stay. Be sure to try all the restaurants on-site—I didn’t even leave the hotel for three days because everything I needed for my conference, including my favorite Las Vegas eateries, was right there on the property. This is a fabulously renovated hotel that’s a must-visit when coming to Vegas. Read less

The hotel has recently changed hands from a Caesars Hotel to the Hyatt chain. The new owners are doing a huge renovation of the entire property. So far 1.500 rooms in the Ipanema Tower have been renovated (I was in one of the renovated rooms), I understand they are renovating the Masquerade Tower during the winter season. Renovation work is continuing throughout the casino area at present but the areas are blocked off and it doesn’t affect residents! The room was huge, the bed so comfortable. The new walk in showers in the bathroom were excellent. A nice surprise to find that all the lamps in the room also had USB slots. The pool areas have been upgraded, a big improvement from previous. Would definitely stay again - all staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Overpriced

Under construction. Rude staff. Overpriced everything. Even the ATM machine wanted a 8.99 fee to get cash. Two elevators out of service made for long waits to go up or down. Smoking in Lobby was gross.
