Rooms are nice and clean, the service is top notch. However, like other writers the noise from the bar/restaurant is AWFUL! We were here for business trip and after coming from the east coast and dealing with the time change we were exhausted and ready for bed at 10pm. Despite the ear plugs and sound machines and fan the thumping from the club right outside our room was OBNOXIOUS! It’s unfortunate that this is ruining our hotel experience. The hotel should really consider moving this club as those of us who need to rest are unable to until 2am. I would not come back here for this reason as when I am traveling I enjoy getting a good night sleep.

The Fairmont is always our first or last point of call when in LA, after 10-15 stays at the hotel over the years, you should take pride in the establishment you have and we will always be back for another stay at some point!.

Started already bad at check in, your price isn’t the real price they add an obligatory fee, which would cover stuff that’s normal at Hotels.
A reduction at the Independent Restaurants and Spa, 10% but you pay for it.
A faster internet Connection which isn’t available.
A bike (if available) which is nice but not worth, 50.- per day.

Also a Breakfast Package isn’t available you only pay for an Voucher (70.- per day)
The plates are over priced with a Coffee for 9.- and pancakes for 22.-
The Front Desk wasn’t explaining anything at check in nor the employees at breakfast, it all feels like you are getting scamed into things.
There is almost no Water Coming out of the shower.
I regulary stay at Accor for Business and Holiday, this was the first bad experience but really bad.
At least we could leave without any additional fees and fund another stay at Accor.

Not a 4-star experience - beware of noise

The room is fine, a bit tired, but there's no minibar (just an empty fridge) or snacks available in the room. Room service charged outrageous fees that turned a $67 dollar meal into a $96 charge ($6 delivery charge plus 2% admin fee plus 19.5% "IRD SVC CHARGE" plus cumulative taxes on top of all that... and isn't delivery and service the same?). The worst part was that my "upgraded" room with an ocean view in the Ocean Tower faced the loud restaurant downstairs that, as other reviewers noted, plays loud music until late, well past midnight. Definitely not worth the view as it comes at the cost of a good night's sleep. Going back to the Conrad, thank you.

Great hotel but the noise!

The hotel is very nice - lovely lobby and restaurants, very close to great shops, walking, restaurants, beach, and a nice gym if you choose to use it. We were in town for a weekend of beach volleyball tournaments so were out all day. However, we were in the tower in a south facing room overlooking a neighboring restaurant/bar/nightclub right on Ocean Ave. The music started around 5 pm and continued until 2 am - it was so loud and no way to muffle it. Sleep was extremely difficult and fragmented for me - luckily my daughter who had to play volleyball X 2 full days was able to sleep through it once she fell asleep. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again because of it, which is a shame, unless guaranteed a room that is not subject to this noise. Everything else was quite nice.
