We spent several hours exploring and visiting the Opryland hotel. It has amazing shopping, dining, walking paths, entertainment, artwork, pools, and more! It is a place where you can be there for months and not even notice, it was beautiful!

An absolutely stunning place. Stayed here for two nights and wished I could have stayed longer. The room was very clean and well presented. A full range of restaurants and places to eat although it was pricey which seems to be standard in America these days. Lots of things to see and do but you need more than two nights to explore and fully experience the place. Very close to a large shopping mall which my wife enjoyed. Also very close to the Grand Olde Oprey which is worth a visit. A bit far out of Nashville but we booked a taxi for six which made it more affordable. Nashville was mental but what a blast. Great live music. Lovely vibrant atmosphere, people and food. All in all a great trip. Read less

There was a roach in my room. I'd say that hotel management handled it poorly, but in fact, they didn't care to handle it at all. I called the front desk immediately, and asked for someone to a) address the roach issue, and b) relocate my luggage to bell services. I obviously didn't want to bring roach eggs home with me. I called the front desk immediately, and asked for someone to a) address the roach issue, and b) relocate my luggage to bell services. I obviously didn't want to bring roach eggs home with me. I waited with my bags in the hallway for 45 minutes. Then, I called the desk again and they told me to leave my bags and they'd get them. (I was at a conference for work and was missing a meeting). Two hours later, my bags still had not been picked up, so I spoke with the manager on duty who offered to give me (after seeing photos) $150 off my stay for the "minor inconvenience." He eventually agreed to deduct the conference rate for one night ($199) from my stay. I then contacted corporate due to the horrible handling of this situation. They asked for the details but never followed up again, despite multiple contacts on my part. I've attached a photo of the roach as well as of the room, which shows the proximity to the bed. In addition to the above, the waitstaff in some of the restaurants was atrocious. A colleague and I went to the Italian restaurant and it took an hour and forty-five minutes to get an appetizer and a glass of wine each. We didn't bother to order dinner because we didn't have another two hours to spare. To top it off, the waiter was downright rude. I will say that the grounds are pretty and nice to explore, however, the hotel was overbooked and absolutely overrun with people while I was there. It's impossible to get into one of the restaurants without a reservation, and don't go to the Starbucks at the convention center unless you have 30-45 minutes to stand in line. Also, the hotel is ridiculously large and was difficult to navigate for folks in our group with mobility issues. Read less

I was here for a convention and had a wonderful time. Between the trees, the water features and the lights, it is just magical. The temperatures were always comfortable and the guest rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean. It IS very large and can be confusing to find any particular spot, so give yourself plenty of time until you get used to your route. All the pretty little walkways and twists and turns are so charming but also make it a little difficult to get from one place to another. To illustrate, uniformed staff would wait at certain points just to help with directions. I thought the beauty was well worth any slight inefficiency but if you have mobility issues you might not think so. I didn't think food prices were too bad (better than the airport!). However your only choice for breakfast is either a $35 buffet, or a Starbucks-like deli counter of muffins and cupcakes and yogurt (and a very long line at mealtimes), so I would suggest planning for that. There is a refrigerator and coffeemaker but no microwave in the standard guest room. It's an easy distance from the airport - $30 taxi ride. I had to leave for my flight at 3:30 AM so asked at the front desk about getting a taxi and was referred to a service they had an agreement with. The person answering that number would have no one available but referred me to two other places. The nice woman at the first place I called said it would cost $85. I called Music City Taxi--$30, and the driver was right there, even a little early to pick me up. Definitely walk through the Garden Conservatory, especially at night! Read less

I read many reviews and the chief complaint was price. I reside in Naples FL and the prices were comparable to any of our resorts. If you want more cost effective options for food the hotel has a free shuttle to Oprey Mills Mall which has a food court and a few chain options. That being said, if you prefer to stay on property Old Hickory Steak House and Rivello are wonderful options. For breakfast Cascades is wonderful. Servers at ALL on property restaurants and bars were top notch. You get what you pay for! In regards to room accommodations I recommend an atrium view room. That allows you to add to the square footage of your room and people watch. You don’t feel trapped inside I highly recommend the General Jackson River Boat Cruise, the dinner was not so good but you can secure a show only ticket. Before you purchase tickets check with the hotel Concierge desk, they have a code which can save you 10$ on your reservation. The musical talent was top notch. Many of the artists were former Disney entertainers which may make me a little bias. Hope this was Helpful 🥰 Read less
