Excalibur

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

This good value on-strip casino hotel boasts an enormous pool area and is home to the must-see Tournament of Kings dinner show, complete with knights on horseback, jousting, pyrotechnics and Merlin himself. Las Vegas’s take on old England, the Excalibur would surprise the Knights of the Round Table. But that’s where it leaves England behind and takes on the world. There’s the all-American casino (with 100,000 sq ft of gaming), games arcade, and branch of Johnny Rockets’ famous hamburger chain. There’s Italy, Mexico and Asia (and a bit more America) in its casual restaurants and food court. And there’s Australia in its ‘Thunder from Down Under’ adult show and Australian Bee Gees tribute concert.

Put small fridge and microwave in your hotel rooms since you cannot provide meal(s) for your guest. Or provide better means for your guest to have quality drinking water

If I could give it zero stars I would. Dirty rooms, extremely outdated with horrible yellow wallpaper. The rooms do not have mini refrigerators nor coffee makers. Even the ice bucket was dirty. One of the pools was closed yet everyday there were five lifeguards seated on the lifeguard stands doing nothing (?). To even get an umbrella by the extremely cloudy other pools you had to make a reservation. Trust me, no one staying at another half-decent hotel is trying to get into that pool scene! We had to stay here because my daughter was playing in the tournament and that was our team hotel. Otherwise we have promptly checked in elsewhere upon seeing the condition of the rooms. Read less

Wait on room , room ( bedding being dirty ) not a thorough cleaning of the room at all. And the over eager pitch team staff or whatever they are that want to give you deals on shows. Thumbs up doesn’t work anymore because they wna quiz you on who did you talk to , where was the person etc. just got annoying every time I walked to and from my room.

Excalibur was one of the first resorts I ever stayed at nearly 25 years ago. I have always had good luck gambling here. I like the location in reference to NY,NY Luxor and MGM. Parking is great although for some reason I was charged $23 dollars instead of $18 to car for one day. Pool was great fun and the pool staff was awesoime.
