The hotel

Las Vegas excels at delivering the impossible in wonderful ways. Where else can you touch down in the Mojave desert and, within 15 minutes, find yourself being serenaded on a gondola ride to St Mark’s Square? A magnificent greatest hits of Venice’s architecture and canals located in the middle of The Strip, the all-suite Venetian is probably the most romantic hotel in Vegas, so let yourself be seduced. Wonder how you ever managed to stay in anything smaller than a suite before, enjoy a meal from one of the Michelin-starred restaurants, walk hand in hand down the Grand Canal shopping esplanade or party the night away in one of the many bars and nightclubs.

Let me start with complimenting the concierge lady at the prestige lounge, the housekeepers, the restaurant employees and the waitress at the prestige lounge. They were incredibly nice, and I felt very special. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The prestige lounge is pretty good but gets short-staffed on some days. The negative things: While 80% of employees are very nice there are inattentive or even rude people too. One day I had to wait over 35 minutes to get a drink at the lounge even though it was only moderately crowded. Reason for 4 stars and not 5. 1)I had an incident with a rude cashier. She could have politely declined my request and explained my account wouldn't be charged but instead she rolled her eyes at me and told me "Have a good night". 2) I was told I was a Sapphire member and won't be charged for parking, but I still got an $18 fee for most days. If it hadn't been for those 2, I would gladly have given 5 stars. Feedback: During the reservation I was told I get a glass of prosecco at the check-in but didn't get any. If you expect a guest, you can't call the security, so they let them in. Instead, you must go downstairs and scan your key. Parking fee waiver can be better managed. Read less

The rooms were very outdated and filthy. A giant ball of hair was in the shower and the walls were covered in brown liquid. When we called to complain, we were told to call housekeeping. Very rude front desk staff - do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I reserved a Luxury two queen suit 5/28/24 in the Venetian tower. Check in July 11th, Check out July 13th. On the 10th I did the mobile check in requesting early check in and understood I would not know if early check in would be available until the day of my stay. On arrival day, July 11th, 10:30am I received a text message stating "Ready to start your vacation? Your suite is now available" and to proceed to the key pickup line. I made it to the front desk at about 11:30-12:00 and was told the text I received must have been a mistake and would receive a text when my room was ready. By 3:00 there was still no text so I made my way back to the lobby to find out if there was a room ready. I was given room 4-527. Tired and hungry I ordered food and while waiting realized the room was not what I reserved, was confirmed and paid for. House keeping entered our room (4-527) unannounced (scared us half to death) because they had no idea the room was occupied. I called the concierge who found me a Luxury 2 queen suite in the Venetian tower 7-138. I asked for some explanation for all the errors to this point and was brushed off. I still don't know what happened and it all seemed pretty routine and casual to the front desk staff. The concierge did say the room we were moving to was our only option if I wanted the room I reserved, confirmed, and paid for. I let the concierge know I ordered food and was assured it would find us in the new room. I got to the new room about 5:00pm and waited for food and when it finally found us staff apologized saying it took so long because the room change had not been communicated. My stay was a short one, two nights and a big chunk of my time was eaten up by this nonsense. On the 12th my daughter discovers the sheets on her bed had a recent feces stain that she slept on all night! I decided to look around the room a bit closer. Honestly it did not appear to have been cleaned. I spent the next six hours trying to get house keeping to clean the room and change the sheets. And now I get to spend even more time writing this. Sigh. Check out on the 13th I communicated my experience to Calrose at the front desk who was kind enough to sincerely listen to my concerns and compensated me by taking one of the room service charges off my bill. He was the only front desk staff member that actually listened and seemed to care my experience was less that satisfactory. Thank you Carlos! Read less

Had a great stay at the Venetian for a conference. The property is gorgeous, well maintained and clean. The rooms are quiet, and very large. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five were the long lines everywhere for services like the front desk, luggage, etc.
