Club Level Rooms and Suites: are located on higher floors and include access to the 42nd floor club lounge, which offers complimentary continental breakfast, hors d'oeuvres, grab and go snacks during the day, non-alcoholic beverages, WiFi and business services, as well as a bar for paid alcoholic drinks.

Check in no problems and was quick staff member was very nice. The foyer is huge with a bar in the middle a stand selling coffee and croissants in the morning also a Starbucks. The room was big with 2 comfy queen beds we had a great view looking over onto the Mississippi River. We could see the pool from our window but we didn’t go so can’t comment on the pool. Hairdryer, safe, iron & ironing board, coffee making facilities complimentary bottles of water. For free WiFi you have to sign up to become a member or you will be charged I think it was around $13 a day. I have read people had problems with the lifts we never had any problems with the lifts. The hotel is on the main street a very good location. Just across the road to the French Quarter. I would recommend this hotel and I would return if I were to visit New Orleans again. Read less

Suite Life - Upgrade Worth It

Upgrade to a King Executive Suite. Room 2830 is on the end and is an oversized room. Room features mini bar, sitting area with double sided TVs, one in living area and one in bedroom. Decor was nice, views were great. Bathroom could use updating. Pros - great location on Canal Street is blocks from Bourbon Street and two blocks to Casino. Food options galore! Bar area is fantastic with lots of TVs. Great place to watch a game. Good food with lots of drink options. Cons- long wait to get a room, long wait to check bag. Long wait to get elevator during prime times. After check in/check out times, elevators are fast. Read less

This hotel has serious problems. Let’s start with the elevators. They use the system that requires one to punch in the number of the desired floor, after which the keypad directs you to an elevator. (There are no floor buttons in the elevators.) I rarely waited less than five minutes for an elevator. At one point, I waited over fifteen minutes and finally gave up. During that entire time, no car even stopped on my floor. If one had stopped but been full, I might have concluded that everyone was going out at the same time, but I saw no evidence of that. At about 5:15 p.m. on the Tuesday of our stay, no one could get an elevator on the third floor. Every effort to call an elevator (regardless of the requested floor) resulted in the message “Please Try Again”. When I later complained to the manager I was told that the elevators were functioning “as they were supposed to” and that they had turned off access on the third floor to call an elevator. While I question the truthfulness of that response, consider the abysmally low level of customer service in disabling the elevators on the conference floor but telling no one and having no signage to explain to the guests and tell them what to do. Then, consider the food and beverage service. I ate twice in the hotel. Both orders were wrong. In the lobby bar, it was the fault of the kitchen, but it took about 45 minutes to get the server to re-deliver a simple appetizer item. In the restaurant, it was the waiter’s fault. He never checked to see if the order was right, did not check to see if we needed anything else, and generally seemed more interested in giving us our check and being done with us than in delivering customer service. These types of issues are cultural at a hotel. I will not stay there again. If any conference that I attend is there (which will be over my objection), I will stay elsewhere. Read less

New Orleans is great but not this hotel

The hotel staff is very friendly, Monique at the front desk has been so helpful and kind. The room is not very clean at all, knowing this I would not have paid an average of $500 a night. The view is great and the location is great. I called the hotel and asked if I could ship a package to the hotel as some promotional products were late to arrive to my house and they said that was fine, they did not inform me that I would need to pay to receive my package. Overall I would not stay here again seeing how dingy the room is. I stay in Sheratons a lot and expected a cleaner room. Read less

Overall, nice hotel. Good location, lots of places to eat and drink around the hotel. My room was a deluxe king with a city view, and it was really nice.
