The staff at this hotel goes above and beyond. When you walk into the lobby of the hotel it truly feels like a sanctuary after the hustle and bustle of a long day in Manhattan. The bar and restaurant are also amazing. We've stayed at this hotel many times and it never disappoints.

I know what you're thinking – "I'm sure whatever problems there were with the heat/air conditioning will be fixed by the time I go." They will not be fixed. I know what you're thinking – "I'm sure whatever problems there were with the heat/air conditioning will be fixed by the time I go." They will not be fixed. I went on the last day of their "summer" regimen. That means you get cool air. The next day I was on the "winter" regimen, even though it was in the upper 60s outside every day. The "winter" regimen means that when you set the thermostat to cool and auto, HOT AIR will pour out. When I came back to the hotel at the end of the day it was 87 degrees in the room. Yes, 87. You can turn off the "cool" setting (actually hot air), but the fan setting doesn't work. It's hot air or nothing. The hotel's solution: they give you a standing fan and you have to try to maneuver in front of the 6 inches you can open a window. And then, because the window is open, if you are facing the street, it's fire trucks and honking all night long. I requested to at least move to a room that wasn't facing on the street, and after much pushback and attempting to charge me more to move to an "upgraded" room, they finally got me into a room that didn't face the street without charging me. The coolest the room ever got was 76. This is for a $520/night room. Ridiculous. Nothing else about the place really matters if you are sweltering every night. Read less

This hotel is really charming with a friendly staff. It was blocks away from a delicious restaurant (Mr Capri) and the Comedy Cellar and Mr Wha. The hotel bar was perfect for grabbing a cocktail at night and for brunch in the morning. It's impeccably decorated.

We were really looking forward to this boutique Hotel in Greenwich Village. There were some nice things, like the Jazz duo in the lobby. Some of the help was very nice. But our room was heated to 79° with no way to turn it down. The windows barely opened a couple of inches. Apparently they shut off the AC and turned on the heat and claimed there… Read more

I love the Walker Hotel. It’s a comfortable and homey place with nice people . The location is practically the heart of Greenwich Village! Any issues were either addressed or relatively insignificant. (Toilet imperfect but not a show stopper; needed space heater on occasion). Great location. Wonderful staff. Amazing experience. Will be back!
