Stayed here for two nights before moving to a friend's place on the third night. Here's what I liked: the free breakfast was one of the best I've had at an U.S. hotel. A large variety that changes to some degree depending on the day. For example, the first morning I ate there, they had croissants, the second day they had waffles instead. While the breakfast room can be crowded at times, the staff work hard to keep surfaces cleaned and the food stocked. Also, my room was quiet. (I was in room 406). The view out of my room as nothing at all (the walls of the building across the way) but the lack of a view also ensured that I would hear almost no external noise while I was there. Thirdly, the staff is generally quite helpful. A special hat's off to Anthony who works the night shift at the front desk. He was able to help me with my laptop that couldn't connect to the hotel wifi. Finally, the gym was ample enough to handle the number of people who showed up in the a.m. to exercise. There was a laundry room next to it, too!
What didn't I like? Well, the room itself was small and nothing special. I was rarely in my room, though, so I didn't really mind much.
If you are coming in on a train and want a hotel nearby ... I'd urge you to choose this one!

However, the elevators are dreadful. We spent much time waiting for one of only two that go to our high floor. The scarcity of elevators is aggravated by the housekeeping staff using the same two elevators guests use.

Our double room on the fifth floor was typically sized for a NYC hotel (on the small side). Excellent bedding, nice towels, and free internet. While our room was directly opposite the elevators, we were never disturbed by noise. The breakfast buffet provided simple fare in great variety, food and coffee were kept replenished, and tables were cleaned promptly. Jay in the breakfast buffet was so attentive and sweet.
The cleanliness, location, and especially the staff keeps us coming back.
