This hotel is quiet, clean, and convenient. Good price for its location. Very central for Broadway performances and great transportation options for everything else NYC has to offer. Only one stop from Moynihan Train Hall/Amtrak. Always one of my go to’s.

Very nice hotel. Conveniently located just off Broadway and close to Hells Kitchen. Lots to do and see in the area. Nicely updated property. The room was very roomy for NYC and nicely updated. Large well designed bathroom as well. The bed was comfortable with nice bedding. The breakfast buffett was decent but not great. Friendly staff. Would… Read more

I've stayed at this InterContinental a few times now. It's a newer and upgraded hotel; however, the service is substandard. It's likely because it's a property in midtown, but I've experienced excellent service at the Marriott and Hyatt in the same neighborhood. The check-in experience was horrible. I've stayed at this InterContinental a few times now. It's a newer and upgraded hotel; however, the service is substandard. It's likely because it's a property in midtown, but I've experienced excellent service at the Marriott and Hyatt in the same neighborhood. The check-in experience was horrible. I was offered early check-in at noon, and I showed up on time, but the front desk guy wouldn't acknowledge the commitment, kept using jargon, and was visibly frustrated with me. I decided to walk away and wait for two hours in the restaurant than deal with him. I ordered breakfast in my room every day, but they messed up the order. This morning, they simply forgot to deliver breakfast. I called after an hour and fifteen, and the lady at the front desk told me there was still no sight of my breakfast due to a city inspection of the kitchen. You're running a hotel and you should have the basic courtesy to call guests and let them know that you won't be able to live up to your commitments. With supremely low EQ, she kept insisting that I would not get charged for the breakfast, and I had to remind her that I'd already paid for breakfast in my room rate. I spoke to the manager as well, and it's more evident why the front desk team needs to be a bit more compassionate. The bell service, on the other hand, is great. You'll see the bellboys running around helping guests with their luggage, taxis, and doors all the time. Read less

First of all, this is a love letter for the management at this hotel. I stay at this hotel every time I come to New York City, but this stay was a full two weeks' stay and I feel like we really got to know the staff here in this wonderful hotel. BEST of all, this hotel has theeee best concierge/door men and bar staff that I have EVER had in any hotel. Abu, Charles, Bert (Bert-y-Love) and Benny were just the most amazing face of your hotel! Seriously, whatever you are paying them is NOT enough because there are better areas to stay in and I wouldn't dream of it because of these FOUR men! Really! They are kind and helpful and lovely lovely people. I wanted to bring them all home with me! I really wish I had the names of the bar staff that are on duty every night (I know 2 of the men have been there since at least last September because they actually recognized me from my previous stays) Anyway... your hostess (who is darling when she is there) and your wait staff in the bar at amazing at their jobs and friendly! They knew my drink order every night. I will miss them all so much! I can't wait to get back to my favorite US city! In a world (especially this city) filled with people that don't really care to get to know you, the men you have placed in your hotel lobby are the absolute best I've encountered anywhere in the world and I travel extensively and as a travel agent, I lead groups all over. I honestly would like to adopt Abu (abusky) if he ever needs a place! Bert (Bert-y-Love) set us up with our ride back to Newark and the driver arrived early to pick us up, he was a safe driver (a massive plus for me) and I'm going to miss Bert's adorable and friendly face (almost) each morning! For all the others wanting the best hotel in a location where it's EASY to get anywhere, you cannot do any better than the InterContinental Times Square (make sure you do this location as there are 2 and they are no way the same in terms of ease of getting around). The A, C, E train LITERALLY right outside the door makes this hotel a no-brainer for every kind of traveler. But for solo women, or groups of women (I just had a girl trip to NYC in May of this year) you cannot go wrong with how easy it is to safely get everywhere from this hotel. Read less
