Grest central location. The hotel is amazing. The staff are amazing. But we weren't advised of the daily 'facilities' charge. Water, tea, coffee, WiFi and the gym. $30 per day per room. Came back to a charge on my credit card. They said tui should have informed us.

Just got back from a lovely week in new york. We stayed at the kixby- a lovely hotel situated on west 35 . It turned out to be a really good location. It is a 5 minute walk from the Empire state, a 15 minute walk to times square. We walked most places because we wanted to see New york properly, its an hours walk down to the 9/11 memorial, and a 50 minute walk down to the central line ferry area. View from the room was typical for new york but we could see the empire state. Traffic can be heard from the room but its not so bad and you can just zone out. The kixby has a rooftop bar we visited only the one time but it was lovely. Views of the illuminated empire state at night. The bar staff lovely and friendly, we tried a couple of their cocktails. There isnt a restaurant but it is attached to the burger place next door. We visited it one evening, the black tap. It was ok, as a vegetarian I know burger bars arent really the place to go as a veggie but there was one fallafel burger , It was ok. On the second floor of the hotel is a refreshments room, tea and soffee are available all day as well as lots of flavoured waters. The hotel gives you a water bottle each so itn nice to fill your bottles each day and set off with some lovely chilled water. We didnt go in at breakfast time but i believe there are muffins and croissants and fruit available. In the afternoon there are cookies and hot chocolate drinks as well as the tea and coffee to drink. We went to the pret a mange and the starbucks just around the corner for breakfast, there are dozens of places to eat within even the first block. The room is small but perfect for our needs, a large bed, walk in wardrobe, drawers, a fridge, a coffee maker, an iron, hairdryer, even an umbrella and ice bucket. The room is immaculately clean and the rooms are cleaned, bed made, towels changed daily. The staff are super, very friendly and there is nothing too much trouble for them . They arranged a taxi back to the airport for us at a cheaper rate than we could get with Uber. Once we had checked out we were allowed to leave our cases and bags for collection later on in the day so we could enjoy our last morning and early afternoon exploring without taking cases with us. We had, overall a lovely hotel and would definitely recommend it and pay a return visit. Read less

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it an excellent overall stay. The location near Times Square made it easy to walk or use the underground. However despite the central location it was very quiet, on the third floor facing the street and we had no road noise. As others have said the 24 hour water, tea and coffee was appreciated. Only negative - don't bother with breakfast as it's poor value and for some reason all on paper plates and plastic cutlery. The diner next door was excellent for burgers. Read less
