Lovely hotel. Large, but easy to navigate. We had a king sized bed and the room was very spacious and clean. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. It wasn’t cheap, but we were celebrating my retirement and wanted a good location. And, boy, did this place deliver! We were a 2 minute, if that, walk to the middle of Times Square. This is one of the best places to stay if you're going to stay in the Times Square area and you want to be in the thick of it. You'll have a great chance of getting a room with a fantastic view of all the action. Beware the lights when you're trying to sleep, but luckily the hotel has some fantastic curtains. The rooms at the Marquis are also much larger than many hotels you'll find in this area, and in NYC in general. Not only that, they are typically spotless and comfortable. The M Club is also one of the nicest in the US, with probably the best breakfast buffet absolutely anywhere. I promise you won't find a better one. In the evenings, the bar in the lounge was expertly manned by Infante, who was engaging and warm. Which leads me to the staff at the Marquis. They really make it feel like one of the best hotels - everyone is smiling and asking how they can help. I had several occasions where this happened. It is well-staffed and built to accommodate the number of people and events every single day. But every member of the staff also makes you feel like you're the most important guest. From Miss Sue and Kevin at the front desk, to Luis the bellhop, and Eric in the downstairs lobby (who helped with dinner location suggestions), they all take the time to smile and help. Even Genevieve in the office behind the scenes makes things go smoothly. The atmosphere here spreads a continual buzz that's hard not to enjoy. If you come near the holidays, you're really in for a treat. It's super festive. If you're coming to NYC and want to experience it in style, this is where you need to stay. The GM Mr. Sharkey has done a phenomenal job of cascading hospitality all over this property. As a business traveler, I like to get to know many of the staff, and I've been fortunate enough to be able to do so here. I promise, they'll call you by name and treat you like a member of the family even if you're in for just one night. A stellar option for the area. Read less

As frequent Marriott group hotel travellers, this was the first time that we were really disappointed by any of the Bonvoy loyalty program hotels. The welcome at the reception was the only nice and friendly moment we experienced in the hotel. The woman there (unfortunately didn't note her name) was very friendly starting with the basic words to welcome us and thank you for choosing the hotel. As of then, service and accommodation was poor. The room was ok in size with 2 queen beds. Although the room was cleaned daily, it was just not clean. Pictures attached show a thick layer of dust on every piece of furniture, I guess the vacumcleaner was not able to get behind the sofa, (hairy) mold on the wall and moldy tile joints in the bathroom. This is definitely not the level what we are used from the Marriott hotels. If this wasn't enough, when we asked the last day if it was possible for a late checkout, we got the answer that we are not in that level of loyalty yet in a very rude way, the only words that were missing were "f*ck *ff". This answer was given by a slightly older man at the reception. Afterwards we went for the checkout and were helped by someone else at the reception and when I asked if I could use another credit card then the one we were checked in with, she said put in your card. After the payment she said, that was it, bye. Never seen before (as a Bonvoy silver elite member) that we didn't even got the question if we liked the stay in the hotel or if there were any remarks. Same like at the end of the chat, another thank you for staying with us and hopefully till next time was missing as well. Having paid €650/night/room... we would have expected a bit more service. Called Giselle at front desk and asked a simple question. Rude could not begin to explain her tone and attitude. I ask for a manager and before I could finish the question I was put on hold. Then Got Jim W who was extremely unconcerned. Have two Marriot properties and was to purchase another one today. I would rather stay at a hostel then to… Read more

This beautiful property is in the perfect location of Time Square. This address provides walking distance to Central Park, Bryant Park, Theater District, Rockefeller Center, and MoMa. I was definitely wow by the design hotel and amenities it offers.
