Amazing hotel. The decor is beautiful and gives the hotel a boutique feel. Yes, the rooms are small but they’re very well appointed so it’s not an issue. The staff are pleasant. The cookies in the afternoon are a nice touch too. This will be my go to hotel for future stays in New York.

Great location and wonderful place to stay! The hotel was able to give us a check in four hours early and the rooms are super clean and the rest of the property is very accessible and in great condition Small but inviting lobby area with seating area

Would I stay again as a couple? No. Would I stay again solo? Yes. There are a lot of positives for the staypineapple hotel. The location is excellent. Google maps where you want to go and your either 15min walk or 2 blocks from a subway that takes you were you need to go. The staff are helpful and attentive. Absolutely no complaints there. The bedding is absolutely the best I have stayed in when at a hotel. The downsides are probably the deal breakers for us staying again. We stayed for one night which was do-able, but for any more than that I think I’d go bananas. We pretty much had to take it in turns who stood up in the room. I appreciate the concept of the micro hotel but I’m leaving this review for folk like me. Often on a city break I say “it’s only a room, I’ll hardly be in it”. However, this is the only time I’ve found it uncomfortable to be in, outside of sleeping. If I was flying solo it wouldn’t have been an issue but as a couple it was too cramped. The room was nice and decorated well. There is a holding deposit but also taken off that is an amenity fee which to me isn’t value for money. Effectively 2 cans of coke and 2 cookies for 30 bucks. Re usable water bottle isn’t much use for me as I carry one anyway so ends up a bit wasted. I’d rather just have kept the 30 bucks and not added another bottle to need recycled. To be fair, this was a known cost when booking. I think the above negatives are to a certain extent known before arrival but perhaps I didn’t realise how much it would impact my stay. Hence the review not being that negative overall. It served its purpose for us, 1 night, good sleep, in a good location. Read less

I have had a childhood dream of sleeping in a submarine and I now feel like I’ve achieved my goal. The staff was kind l, the hotel quiet, and the bed comfortable, yet the room was comically tight without even an area to open a suitcase and leave it open. The shower didn’t get hot and the heater/AC unit was literally touching and next to the bed. A pro tip, take two of the pillows and place them on the side of the bed next to the blowing air like a little wall or dam, to divert it from being directly blown on your body all night long. This area of NYC is sometimes lovingly thought of as the armpit of New York, but it is close to the theaters and tourist heavy areas like Times Square if that’s a priority. Read less
