We were told that there was only one person cleaning rooms and that our room had been trashed and they had allowed a late check out and that is why our room was not ready. How trashed had that room been/did they let the people check out at 5 pm? Because there is NO way that it took 1.5 hours to clean. I have stayed here in the past and the suite was much bigger. We are supposedly in a renovated suite but doesn’t feel that way to me. I’m in a position to send a lot of business to this hotel and sadly I will not. I’m here for work and will deal, but never again. Read less

The hotel was quiet- even with renovations ongoing it felt like we were the only guests. The remodeling has taken 1 elevator out of service leaving 1 elevator in service, but we never waited long and it was not an inconvenience. We walked everywhere - Rockefeller Center is a short distance away and Broadway a little beyond that. Very close to subway stations as well. The only drawback was that we weren't offered any snacks to pick out in exchange for the NYC hotel/resort fee every hotel is charging now that Airbnbs aren't competing for their business (I am seeing other reviews saying they were offered a daily snack credit). That would have been the cherry on top for my kids. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel! Read less

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Although there was some building work going on, it didn't disrupt our stay at all. Our room was spacious, especially for New York standards, and while it could use a bit of updating, the location and value for money made it more than worthwhile. We loved every moment of our stay and will definitely be back! Read less

What a major disappointment with this hotel. I have been a loyal customer of this property for over 25 years. The current renovation project is a DISASTER! Particularly for a hotel with NO DINING OPTIONS on the premises. For shame that they have the chutzpah to charge such a fee — under the current conditions!!!! Read less
