We checked into the room only to find out that the hotel was no longer allowed guests onto the balcony. We were never informed that they had restrictions on the room and at the outrageous price it should have had the balcony. We ended up checking out and going to another hotel with a balcony at 1/4th the price. Totally disappointed! Read less

Friendly staff and nice looking hotel but shame about the room, it was small and had seen better days. The only mirror in the room was in the en-suite not good enough when you are getting ready and your partner needs the bathroom.. The bed was changed every day and was really comfortable. There’s no kettle or tea and coffee facilities but if you ask they will supply a kettle but you would have to take your own coffee and tea! The maid service was really good and over all we were happy and didn’t complain. We had the Queen room. Read less

The hotel is a nice hotel from outside , but when we arrived at our room the bathroom was not clean…it was a shock. We call room service they never answered. I have to go front desk for house keeping. The same happend if you needed extra towels…Phone never answered. It is quite shocking to see the lower quality at Marriott hotels…

Ok hotel but a bit shady and questionable in some regards. 1. I had a three night stay - the first night paid for by the company I work for, and the next two nights prepaid via Expedia. I had a mix up on check-in where my company had given them a credit card but it was an out of date number so they demanded my credit card to pay for the room. So I had already given them my card information.... My company later provided their credit card info. Meanwhile I came home exhausted and tired late Saturday night only to find myself locked out of my room. I had to go to the front desk where they demanded my credit card again for "incidentals" – this all took WAY too long given that it was late at night. They could have simply left a note under my door. Furthermore, they'd already had my card so not sure why they needed it again. 2. After I returned home, I was looking through my credit card statement only to find that they'd put a subtanstial charge on my credit card. When I called the hotel they told me that they charged me for two days of ridiculous "destination fee" – basically you're paying 35 bucks per day USD for breakfast, whether you want it or not with that fee, plus an additional 2 dollars at the door if you actually have the breakfast PLUS here's where it gets really shady – they put a $112 "bar charge" on my credit card – when I never used anything from a minibar (I don't even think they had one) or anything else in the hotel – I'd guess that this is just straight up credit card fraud that they probably routinely (try to) get away with? Other than that, an ok hotel. Nothing special, but nothing particularly wrong with it either. It was in a safe, walkable, if somewhat boring and expensive neighbourhood. If it wasn't for my conference location, would have preferred to stay in a more desirable neighbourhood outside of midtown Manhattan. Read less

She is extremely friendly. This was a very difficult trip for me as it was post foot surgery. Breda, Nicole, and Lisset went to great trouble to help me get ice. A special shout out to Milca in housekeeping on the 19th flr. She helped me with ice when I was very unsteady on my feet. The Lexington is my home away from home on my many trips to NYC and the service is why. Read less
