Virgin Hotels New York City is situated in the heart of the Manhattan on Broadway in the hip NoMad neighborhood, an area privy to some of New York’s  most iconic architecture. The hotel rises 38 stories with floor-to-ceiling windows and a rooftop pool offering breathtaking views of Lower Manhattan and the Empire State Building. 463 chambers across 38 floors, all of which are uniquely designed and consist of two spaces separated by sliding doors. The first area ‘The Dressing Room’ features a full vanity, make up desk with mirror, extra large shower, and a closet for two. On the other side of the sliding door is ‘The Lounge’ featuring the bed, mini-bar*, and HDTV. All chambers feature floor-to-ceiling windows, air-conditioning, yoga mat, custom sensor lighting, ample outlets for smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices, and bathroom amenities.  

King Chambers feature 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Chamber Double 2 Beds sleeping maximum 4 adults.

We had great night at rooftop. I ordered Faux Garita mocktail but I didn't quite like it but our server Adriano was really friendly and happy to change it to another one. We were pleased with his service. If you are in NYC look for a great rooftop spot, this is your place. And Adriano will take care of the rest.

We stayed here as a family (four adults in two rooms) for a week in July. Poor service started with us trying to organise the transfer through the hotel. We were told by email on several (six) occasions that the transfer had been arranged but we were not being given any contact details for the providers. We stayed here as a family (four adults in two rooms) for a week in July. Poor service started with us trying to organise the transfer through the hotel. We were told by email on several (six) occasions that the transfer had been arranged but we were not being given any contact details for the providers. We eventually got this sorted three days before travelling and only when we suggested we would sort ourselves. When we checked in, there was not a particularly warm welcome and, despite requests at booking and subsequent comms with the hotel, seemingly little effort to give us two rooms in close proximity. And no chance of changing. Rooms themselves are functional and not particularly impressive however, like most people visiting New York, we didn’t anticipate spending a lot of time in there. Pool. Perhaps a European trait but we expected to be able to sit around the pool of the hotel we are staying in. Sunbeds were available - at a cost of $140 each per day which meant we never got to enjoy the pool. Similarly, the hotel has a rooftop (its on the third floor) bar but we were only able to sit outside twice in the whole week, every other night, there was an exclusive event which meant we couldn’t get access - one night we did manage to secure a table, we were told in no uncertain terms that tipping was compulsory. Similarly sky lounge which is on the website appears to be out of bounds to residents. All in all, we just weren’t made to feel very welcome and, in truth, while on the face of it there are nice facilities - we didn’t really get to enjoy them. Would not recommend. Read less

Superb food with a great ambiance inside and out. The outside rooftop deck is stunning with an out of this world skyscraper view. The rooftop set up is perfect private for each party. It's absolutely stunning. We even had the chance to meet rapper A Boogie who casually dined that night. This place is super exclusive. Will absolutely be back. Read less

I had one of the best girls night here! The rooftop dining & bar experience is phenomenal from the friendly staff to the Amazing food & cocktails! Jordan the manager constantly checked in on me and my guest & was super helpful in accommodating us to make sure we had a great view of the Empire State Building! I will definitely be back!!
