Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle

Seattle, USA

Virgin rating

The hotel

It’s not called ‘Vintage’ for nothing — this is the Grand Cru of Seattle hotels, with interiors, wine lists, and social get togethers, all under the influence of Washington State’s wine country. It may be in downtown Seattle, but step into this boutique retreat and you may feel like you’re in a tasting room, surrounded by earthy shades blended with grape greens and burgundy. It’s the perfect place to sample the region’s fine tipples, with a complimentary wine hour every evening. Why not move on to the award-winning Tulio Ristorante, where you can tuck into Italian classics that come with a fresh Northwest twist — and a wine cellar of course.

The location was wonderful. The room and bed were cozy. The shower and soaps smelled so good. The coffee was delightful. And I really appreciated Jerry's dedication to excellent customer service that did not go unnoticed. We would definitely return!

Beautiful hotel in great location. From the second we arrived, the staff have been amazing, very professional, friendly, and can’t do enough for you. Our room was on 10th floor and was a large room with everything we needed. We had a bath tub as well as a shower and after long days of sightseeing and walking was lovely to relax in a bathtub! The breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked and delicious! A lovely feature of the Kimpton hotels is the wine hour 5pm - 6pm where all guests are invited to the lobby to enjoy free of charge wine and nibbles, a lovely way to meet fellow guests and gain ideas for places to visit etc from other guests! We loved this! The day we arrived was my husbands birthday, I had e mailed the hotel about this and they made such a fuss of my husband, they were brilliant and so generous! Thank you so much! We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Seattle Read less

This is a great hotel choice if you are looking for a true downtown Seattle experience without breaking the bank. Travel to Seattle and riding the train into town from SeaTac is a breeze, and costs $3 per person to get to University station, a few blocks from the hotel. Getting around downtown (Frye Art Museum, Pioneer Square, Convention Center, Pike Place, etc.) from the hotel involves a fair bit of walking and some steep hill climbs, but there are always ride sharing options waiting right nearby. The hotel has a fairly chill vibe and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. In spite of being at the always busy intersection of 5th and Spring, we were not bothered by traffic noise at night. Recommend asking for a room on the highest floor possible if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast included for Diamond members at Tulio is not to be missed, especially if you are lucky enough to have Bill looking after you. He's awesome! The weekend brunch is great and goes to 1:30 PM. The other staff we encountered were all very professional and attentive. Kudos to them for taking great care of the guests! Don't believe all the media about downtown Seattle being overrun with drugs and the unhoused, exercise some common sense and you'll have a great time. Read less
