We were celebrating our anniversary and my recovery from an injury+surgery before I return to work. We had so much fun in Austin and at the hotel. Had I paid enough attention I would’ve booked Thompson just for the extra space in the room - I’m a bit clumsy still. Navigating the bed and shower toilet just required more attention on my part lol. We were celebrating our anniversary and my recovery from an injury+surgery before I return to work. We had so much fun in Austin and at the hotel. Had I paid enough attention I would’ve booked Thompson just for the extra space in the room - I’m a bit clumsy still. Navigating the bed and shower toilet just required more attention on my part lol. We ate at AA the first night, the taquitos, esquites, and pastor tacos were phenomenal. I had to order taquitos again the next day when we were by the pool because I craved them again. Sage took care of us by the pool and was so nice and seems to really care about guests. We had the Tres leches cake & churros as well - didn’t last long - so good! We caught Sage again on our way out this morning and she just has a genuine energy and way about her. Billy at Diner Bar was awesome too, as well as the food. He kept us entertained and gave us a few recommendations of places to check out in the area. We will definitely be back and will check out the Thompson side! Read less

Overall a very great visit. Minor things and amenities desired; but still amazing visit. Staff was Amazing. Arriba Abajo was fantastic and the manager was Second to none.

I know the noise level can be high, but you are in one of the busiest spots in Austin, near lots of places you can walk to. The Tommie is quite the value and you can still enjoy all of the amenities. It was my birthday trip and I was meeting friends that I had not seen in years. I picked this hotel out of many. Normally I stay at Marriott hotels but I thought I would try something new. It was not a pleasant experience and all because of that server.
