The hotel

Where is it

In downtown Salt Lake City, half a block from the convention centre, one block from Capitol Theatre, and within a walk of 60 restaurants, clubs and other entertainment venues including City Creek Center’s shopping, the planetarium, and museums. The hotel is right by the Salt Lake light rail system, making exploring even easier.

Decent stay for a couple of nights. Check-in was a little rough, as my first room was quite warm. I would avoid any of the south facing rooms, especially the ones further down from the elevator during warmer months. The sun warms the room and the blackout curtains don’t help. Decent stay for a couple of nights. Check-in was a little rough, as my first room was quite warm. I would avoid any of the south facing rooms, especially the ones further down from the elevator during warmer months. The sun warms the room and the blackout curtains don’t help. The thermostat was set to 65 and wasn’t helping either. Fortunatelt, I moved into another room facing the north side, that was a little cooler. Still not as cool as I would prefer, however. Good location, as we came for FanX. The staff was great! Good location for walking to restaurants, bars, the convention center or to Salt Lake Temple. They also have shopping near by. In for a quick business trip. The hotel is well located and easy to walk anywhere. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again. Rooms are also well decorated the beds are comfortable. The front desk did make dinner recommendations and told us good places to check out.

Everything else was great but no nights sleep due to being terrified and truck not accommodated for parking, that leaves a low rating. Additional info: Room I had but other rooms may have as well: The rooms have damaged sprinkler heads, doors that need repair- well that’s 923 for you. And it’s outdated. Quick trip to Salt Lake City, it’s a very old fashioned hotel and really needs a refurbishment. We were upgraded as diamond members to a deluxe Mountain View room. The breakfast was good and they had an omelette station and a dish of the day. Two gym rooms - one big cardio room and a smaller weight room. We booked an advance rate and the price fluctuated a lot so ended up being a lot cheaper than we initial paid, reached out before check in, was asked to discuss with the manager when I arrived, who didn’t remotely care.
