Great experience at this hotel. The front desk Julie and Jin we're super sweet, the hotle has an art gallery, the decor is beautiful, very clean and the location is in walking distance to many great eateries. I will definitely come back to stay.

I typically stay at the JW when I’m in DC but decided to give this property a try. I’m glad I did. It’s less crowded clean and new beds are comfortable. Rooms are spacious enough. Most importantly the staff is incredible especially Evelyn Jin and Wanda, who greeted me with smiles and open arms.
Fantastic Stay

The Ven was fantastic. The front desk staff, including Jin (and two other ladies during the day shift, whose names I forgot, sadly), were absolutely delightful and helpful. The vibe in the lobby and my room was very nice and artistic. I didn't feel that the rooms were dated and enjoyed my stay throughout. The location is unbeatable. Very easy to…

What a fantastic hotel. Location is so convenient, less than a 2 minute walk from Dupont Circle metro station. Rooms are a decent size, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast options are all delicious and very generously proportioned.
A big thank you to Cookie on reception for helping out with the “tooth fairy” when my daughter’s tooth came out on our…

A big thank you to Cookie on reception for helping out with the “tooth fairy” when my daughter’s tooth came out on our trip. And an especially big thank you to Christian and Bryan in the restaurant for making our breakfast experience so outstanding every morning!
100% recommend The Ven!

Comfortable, but a bit worn

I stayed here on business (research panel, booked by the organization). The hotel is only a block from Dupont Circle, so it's convenient to many external amenities. I stayed here on business (research panel, booked by the organization). The hotel is only a block from Dupont Circle, so it's convenient to many external amenities. The room was comfortable and functional, but was showing some wear. For example, the bathroom mirror worked fine in reflecting my age-worn face, but was discoloring notably around the edges. Also, the desk in the room had many pits in the surface, almost as if someone had been hammering on parts on it (not me...). And I had to contact the front desk to get a bath mat (no, not a bath robe, a bath mat, thank you, I'll wait...) Also, placing ice machines only on two floors and a microwave only on the 2nd floor was another minor annoyance after a long day of work. I can't complain too much as the room was paid for by an outside organization, I got decent sleep, and it's far better overall than an inexpensive motel, but the rooms and amenities aren't quite as up to other properties in its category.
