The hotel

Tenaya Lodge’s setting takes some beating — bordering the Sierra National Forest and set on 75 stunning acres, it’s surrounded by nature. The hotel has plenty of activities, including a choice of trails and a guided walk to a hidden waterfall. Grab your hiking boots, or maybe a mountain bike, and head out to explore. At the end of the day, take a dip in the outdoor pool, get a s’mores kit and sit around the outdoor fire pits, or grab your torch and head out on a night hike. After all that activity, you’re likely to sleep well.

Great hotel ! Close to mariposa grove trail. Good food and amenities. My daughter even got to roast marshmallows and even got a rubber duck as a little present for her. It made her feel special. We arrived late at night andfood was delicious and fresh.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Cottage with 2 queen beds - one for us and one for our teenage son. Loved the cottage - you get the sense of being in the woods, and we enjoyed sitting just outside room amongst the pine trees. The rooms are well appointed and we found it big enough for 3. The hotel amenities are good, convenient laundry room, pizza for eat-in or take-away to your room, and the restaurant and shop are open early enough to pickup coffee, breakfast, sandwiches etc. before you head off to Yosemite so that you can get there before the queues of cars start! One thing to bear in mind, is that although it is just a 5 min drive from Tenaya to the entrance of the Park, it is still another 45 minutes or so to get to the main Village and Visitor Centre within the Park. That was fine for us, because we enjoyed the drive and the stops we made on the way - but if that is a concern you may want to make sure you get accommodation inside the park. Good food and cocktails in Jackalopes, but it is pretty pricey. Read less

The place is very beautiful. Restaurantes and service are excellent. The only thing that we didn’t like were the mattresses and pillows. We payed more than 2k for two nights in the Explorer Cabins. We expected to have good beds. But it was a night mare. They need to buy orthopedic mattress and new pillows. Very uncomfortable to sleep there.

When I called to complain, they said u Rnt allowed to cook food, ugh I wasn’t cooking in this terrible little hotel room. Fireplace didn’t work. Beds wer uncomfortable. The restaurants wer bad. If this place wasn’t close to 600$ a night, and close to 200-300, it wouldn’t be so bad. But you’re paying top dollar for bargain store prices. Only good things wer the staff, location, and three free s’mores every night. Wouldn’t suggest this at all. Read less

The resort is beautiful! The pool and hot tubs felt great after hiking. The resort is very near the south entrance and perfect location to explore the redwoods. It's a bit of a jaunt to Yosemite Valley so I would do this on the way to the resort then explore areas closer to resort
