Really great resort experience

My husband and I went for my 50th birthday celebration. This is the first all inclusive for both of us. We were very pleased. The resort was clean and well maintained. The food was great! The drinks were all good! There was always plenty to do if we wanted. The staff was awesome!

It was a bachelorette party for a party of 7. We had 3 rooms and I emailed the hotel a few weeks before to have our rooms together. The representative was quick to respond by email and noted the special request for our rooms. At the time of check-in, our rooms ended up being all on different floors.

The representative was quick to respond by email and noted the special request for our rooms. At the time of check-in, our rooms ended up being all on different floors.
I guess they can't guarantee things but since they advertise themselves as a big group party scene hotel, they should do better with accommodation.
I also booked the reservation through Priceline and the hotel got the wrong number of guests per room (1 per room). They ended up charging $900 more. The price we already paid was the average price for 2 people per room. However, the check-in person was not able to adjust or accommodate. I don't know why they even have a manager there since there is nothing that a manager can do than the front desk.
The room was clean and nice but it smelled like mold and my clothes smelled like mold when I got home.
Room food service was good during the time. But late-night snacks were just microwavable pizzas.
The hotel staff were nice and helpful.
Asian restaurant foods were salty. The French restaurant was excellent. One of the outdoor restaurants didn't have any fans and we weren't able to enjoy food since it was so hot.
The club was good but all drinks tasted like tequila drinks (we ordered Jack and Coke).
The spa was excellent.

Disappointing
It took me more than half my stay to get changed to the correct room that I booked. No one at the front desk was willing to assist in getting my room change. Everytime I spoke with someone they always said comeback later.I come back and they were always in a meeting. I work for Hilton as a Director of Security, no one has meetings after 5pm.😒. I probably will never use the Hyatt brand because of this experience! The drink selection was subpar. Even the Xhale club,which is suppose to be premium drinks, were low grade selections. The rooms smell of mildew. The staff everywhere except the Xhale lounge and breakfast gave the impression that they didn't want to serve you. Even as I was tipping a lot they still made me unwelcomed. Your front of the house staff should be retrained on customer service, it is very poor. Terrible communication, and apathy. If I could give a minus rating, I would. I reviewed on Expedia and all I got was apologies and excuses! I couldn't even get that while I was there. I will be contacting the corporate office about this experience. My first stay and you all really dropped the ball on a first impression👎🏾

Spoon- Breakfast with Pascual

Pascual went above and beyond for my cousin and I during our stay! He was welcoming, friendly, and attentive each morning at breakfast. Spoon had a great selection of food and I highly recommend the Conchinita Pibil! There were a lot of options at the buffet and a lot of seats for guests so we never had to wait!
