I booked this trip to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and I regret picking this "resort." I could write a very long review but I will just share some of the bullet points. Pros: - The location. Beach is amazing! Big, not crowded and the water is beautiful. - It is next door to the Baha Mar. So, if it is too late to cancel your trip, you can go there a few times to salvage your experience. Cons: - Resort is very dated and needs a full rehab. For example, the fitness center is full of old rusted and broken equipment; the pool tables in the lobby are all ripped; the bathroom in the lobby was out of service for half of our trip; the coffee shop and a retail store in the lobby were closed (empty); our bathroom had cracked tile, very low water pressure and no hot water, etc. - There is no spa and there are no kayaks or other water sports through the hotel, despite both being highlighted on the website. - The resort is infested with ants. They are everywhere! We even had them in our bed the first night. Disgusting! When we spoke to housekeeping, they acknowledge the issue and said that our floor (8th) was the best and suggested staying because other floors are worse. - Food and Drinks: Food is average at best. we didn't starve but did find ourselves dining out two nights out of four, despite this being an all-inclusive. Drinks are free but they aren't always available at every bar or restaurant, so you need to wander around if you want something specific at a specific time. - Entertainment: We stayed 4 nights and they had the same band every night. Not bad but a little variety would be nice. In summary, this resort is consistent in that every aspect is poorly managed. It’s unfortunate because the beach location is beautiful but it doesn’t compensate for the other issues. We complained every step of the way but there seemed to be a general disregard from the staff. I think they realize there are too many issues to fix and have given up. Read less

Man. What a massive disappointment. First, this is NOT ADULTS only. Not sure how they can advertise it as such. There was a 12-13 year old youth boy and girls soccer team and a 13-14 year old youth boys baseball team. They took over the pool and were running around everywhere. Also a couple random super young kids. FOOD: I think I lost weight… Read more

There was a 12-13 year old youth boy and girls soccer team and a 13-14 year old youth boys baseball team. They took over the pool and were running around everywhere. Also a couple random super young kids. FOOD: I think I lost weight during the trip. Breakfast was decent, but the restaurants were pretty bad. The Italian chicken parm was inedible and the garden of Eden was just as bad. Didn’t bother with the Japanese spot. Dinner buffet was decent (think cafeteria food). DRINKS: bottom shelf. Not good. SERVICE: excellent! I wish I could rate them separately! You’re walking distance to the Baha Mar. we bought a day pass to hang at the water park (160.00!). It’s pricey but beautiful (2 drinks were 50 at the park and 70 on the beach). We would also go to the casino ( it’s free and they’ll serve you free drinks if you’re gambling). We also booked a snorkeling excursion to get away for a day. We had a car service pick us up, but was told a taxi would be 25-30 bucks. It was a 32 dollar taxi to get to paradise island and 35 to get back. Would spend an additional 700 bucks to stay at the RIU. Live and learn. Read less

This is our third visit here. This is lengthy, but honest! Check In- easy! Quick! However there was about 100 band students (young children) checking out. We were trying to figure out why there were so many kids here, as they advertise 14 & up. These were young kids, maybe 5-10years old. We were thankful they were leaving. We come here as an "adults only" vacation, and in our previous stays we may see 1 or 2 14+ year Olds with their parents. The next thing we know, here come 100 teenage boys, with their families. Baseball teams from all over. Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, 3 USA teams, Arbua, Venezuela, and several others. Again, with their families- siblings, more kids. They wiped out the buffet, they took over the pool, the were running around everyone. Creating so much more work for their employees. So many guests were frustrated. We had heard SEVERAL times "why are there so many kids." "Way to many kids for me, I didn't think they were supposed to be here. " Very frustrating. You, Breezes, dropped the ball with your guests this last week. You cannot advertise "adults only - 14 & up" and have a million kids running every which direction. A lot has changed here since our last visit. We definitely enjoyed seeing some familiar faces, Reno , Michael at the poolside grill, Rasta(AKA Darvin)- he took great care of us, helping set up our cabana. We also met some new WONDERFUL people. The whole entertainment crew is exceptional. Joshua, Reno, D'von, & Ronnard made all the difference. What we would love to see come back- more dancing for the entertainment crew. The games are a blast, but I've seen your shows... they're so good. Bring it back. I would also love to see the entertainment crew eating dinner with the guests like they used to. That's how you get to know some of these people. We had the pleasure of asking one of the old employees to come back and see us. Spend the day with us. As the people make this entire island. From the Bellhop, to the entertainment crew, to the servers & bar staff, groundskeeper, to Mr. Brown with Majestic Tours. Rooms: outdated!!! Period! This hotel needs a fresh coat of paint. Food: Most of it is good. You'll always be able to find something to eat here. (One of the gals in the morning making eggs, in the skillets on 7/10 she was a little hateful.) Read less
