Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

80 Beach and Overwater villas. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, iPod docking station, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities and daily refreshed mini-bar. Beach Villas have an open-air bathroom and private furnished patio with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Deluxe All-Inclusive includes: breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and La Asiatique). Selected premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water.

Beach Villas with Pool have a front-row access to Faaruhushi’s white-sand beach, and a private covered patio with lounge furniture, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ideal for families the Family Beach Villa with Pool have a separate twin bedroom, as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a patio over the sea plus a private infinity pool with direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Sunset Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a private covered patio with lounge furniture, private infinity pool, and direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults

Superior Water Villas with Pool are located at the end of jetty, and have a private infinity pool, patio over the sea, lounge area, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

We have just returned from an 8 day trip to Emerald Faarufushi and wish we could have stayed much longer! From start to finish we were impressed by the whole experience. The resort is immaculate and we loved staying in one of the over-water villas. Our host, Nicole, was on hand throughout our stay to ensure that our trip ran as smoothly as possible and our Villa was kept immaculate each day by Naufal. The snorkelling and the house reef are brilliant, and we also did a snorkelling excursion where we saw many turtles and also Manta Rays, which were particularly impressive! The dive team were all brilliant. We do not usually go for all inclusive resorts so I was slightly sceptical about what the food and drinks would be like, but they are all absolutely incredible. The restaurants are beautiful and the food is so fresh. We particularly enjoyed the sushi on a lunch time at Aqua and the food and setting of all the evening restaurants were brilliant. The food at the Asian restaurant was delicious and eating on the beach at Carnivorous was also lovely. The setting at Mediterraneo was very special. We couldn't fault any of it. The wine list was extensive and there are sommelier's on hand at each of the restaurants which is a lovely touch. We also enjoyed a brilliant evening at the Teppanyaki restaurant and the Eclipse bar at sunset was also particularly special. My one bit of feedback would be that on an evening the feel of the pool bar doesn't quite match up to the rest of the resort in terms of the atmosphere and ambience, but that's if I am being picky! The water sports available was extensive and we made great use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Without a doubt though the best part of this resort are the staff. Each and every single person we came across from the moment we arrived until the moment we left was absolutely incredible. We were greeted warmly by everyone and it is the staff that truly made our stay unforgettable. Lakshitha, the chef at the Teppanyaki restaurant, wowed us with his incredible skills and creativity. The presentation and flavors of the dishes were extraordinary, and we truly appreciated the personalized touch he added to our meal. The staff at this resort were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a grand water villa which was beautiful. We were able to enter the sea directly and there were lots of tropical fish, etc to see on the hotel's reef. Bikes were provided to get around the island and there are also lots of activities - if relaxing is not your thing! The resort has an excellent selection of restaurants and the all inclusive offering is superb, with lots of choice. The staff were all wonderful but special mentions go to Bona our wonderful sommelier, Faheen our fantastic villa host, Rahual for an unforgettable snorkeling trip, Vicki for making us perfect cocktails and Isha for the Alien's Brain Sci-Fi night cap!! We have just returned from this paradise island with its crystal clear blue sea and white glistening sandy beaches . We were greeted with big smiles and an outstanding welcome onto the island and i can honestly say from that moment on the holiday just got better and better. The outstanding friendliness and service from every member of the staff, the fabulous food, the spa, the snorkeling and the water villas were all incredible. We have travelled considerably over the years and we can honestly say that this wonderful resort totally exceeded our expectations! We were greeted by Nicole our villa host who checked in on us each morning by WhatsApp and made sure we wanted for nothing.. amazing lady, thank you Nicole! The Executive head chef Moreno made a point of chatting with us daily and his recommendation of the Wagyu brisket was to die for along with his personally hand made cheese stuffed tortellini. We were very fortunate to receive an upgrade to a Superior water villa suite and it was totally wow.. the pool was immense and the housekeeping staff were faultless and took so much pride in their work keeping it impeccably clean. We loved the birthday greeting decorations and petals laid out on our bed along with the cake and champagne, a very nice touch! We would like to mention Preyanka for her bubbly friendly service in the Medeterreano restaurant and Vikali and Ischa in the Eclipse bar who kept us entertained after dinner and made us the best Expresso Martini's! A big thank you to Mr Patrick and all his wonderful staff for making our 'holiday of a lifetime' a dream come true.
