A great stay in a lovely resort. Clean and well maintained throughout. All inclusive package was great as it started as soon as you checked in until you left. Plenty of sun beds available. Food options let it down a little. Breakfast was too repetitive with few hot options though plenty of cold options in the walk in fridge. There was no change to any of the offerings during our week there. By day 4 we had resorted to pastries and fruit only. infinity was the best for food quality . They had a great menu to choose off. However, the service here at lunch was truly appalling and I witnessed staff having arguments in front of customers. One particular case involved the bartender accidentally knocking a drink over as he placed on bar. He threw a cloth over to his colleague on the other side and this colleague refused to clean up. Voices were raised and in the end the receiving colleague proceeded to make the matter worse by scooping the drink and ice onto passing customers rather than sponging it up. Infinity in the evening was a totally different experience and we really enjoyed it here. The only thing that let infinity down was the replacements on the menu were too obvious eg paneer was often tofu, potatoes were absent from the fillet steak and replaced with celeriac etc. We enjoyed all the pool areas, which were kept clean at all times. They were never too crowded. We loved the adults only areas eg in Savanah and Zafarani. It would be great if there was a similar section in Infinity, given the many honeymooners and other adults who didn’t want their peace disturbed with crying children or children running around. Zafarani was good, with Harjit doing his thing by making bespoke food. He was a joy to deal with and made anything you asked him to. I would recommend he add these options to the menu in Zafarani as it is rather limited for vegetarians, Read less

Had a lovely couples' golf holiday at Heritage Awalil with two fantastic courses. The service was good, and the staff were very helpful. However, the food was poor and disappointing across various outlets over our 6-day stay, below expectations for such a property. Cleanliness was acceptable, though not outstanding.

From the moment we arrived, I knew this place was special. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful, the staff are so friendly and welcoming in a way that feels genuine and not at all contrived and the rooms and well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Mauritius is a country with a really relaxed, welcoming vibe and the ethos of the hotel as well as the attitude of the staff really matches this. I don't for one second mean that they are too 'relaxed' as they are so accommodating and efficient. The hotels offers everything you need to make the holiday your own, from the choice of different restaurants to the activities on offer... if you want to take part in all of those things or pick and choose to match your tastes then it really can be whatever you make of it. My husband and two boys loved the golf courses and I loved the spa! The outdoor spaces are out-of-this-world-beautiful, the beach, the sea, the pool, the gardens and so on. The indoor areas are beautifully designed from the Infinity Blue beach restaurant to the lounge area and so on, the spaces are well-considered and never felt crowded, loud or too busy. The shower room (for guests with a late checkout) was a welcomed addition that we haven't had before and made the last day infinitely easier. You need to book this at reception... we had it for an hour and a half and it included two showers, a toilet, ironing board, mirrors etc etc - all immaculately clean with fresh towels and toiletries. A special mention to the staff members who make this place the success that it is....All of them are so kind, efficient and friendly. Everyone says hello and goes out of their way to make your holiday special. A few that really stood out are Olivier by the family pool... always smiling and friendly with extra considerations here and there to brighten your already bright day! Priscilla at the spa - I had two massages there and she was wonderful, highly recommended! Johanna in the restaurant - if she isn't already a manager then she should be! She is very attentive and considerate and excellent at her job with a warm and friendly greeting for everyone. Read less

We traveled here after out safari holiday in South Africa for a week of R&R and we was not disappointed……right from the entrance of the hotel you are greeted by the gatehouse with a smile, followed by the staff just outside the hotel who collect your bags and arrange the transportation who greet you with kindness, you are made to feel like a special guest before you have even entered the hotel. Once in you are seated and then offered a tour of the hotel before you are taken to your rooms where they put your luggage for you, very nice touch! The front of the hotel is beautiful with koi carp that swim up to almost greet you. The rooms are a delight and have a walk in wardrobe! Double sinks and a bath that you can almost swim in it’s so big! The shower is very powerful and have complimentary shampoo conditioner and body wash, and plenty of it, there are plenty of towels, dressing gown and a beach towel too, the room has a seating area and a mini bar all free and replaced daily, there is nothing you don’t need ….simply stunning! The hotel is vast and has lots of restaurants, bars, 2 swimming pools and is right by the beach, a beautiful setting. We ate at lots of the restaurants within the complex and did the Boma experience with was fab! The hotel setting is lovely, the cleaning staff are super friendly and cannot do enough to help you, the reception staff are also the same, in particular there was one staff member Pallavee who remembered our names 3 days in to our holiday which was exceptional, there was nothing she couldn’t do for us! The blue lagoon restaurant was one of the best at this hotel, right by the sea, lovely setting, in particular on member of staff stood out for us farzina her name is, she had a sore throat on the evening we dined but that didn’t stop her, she worked harder than all the staff put together and when the other member of staff forgot our drinks, she rushed to sort this out for us, she had a issue with another guest where they was being rude to her, but she was totally professional and didn’t deserve to be treated like that, such a hard worker and stood out, again she remembered us 2 days later and took it apron herself to seat and serve us that night, thank you farzina! Jerome carrier the general manager took time out of his busy day to speak with me as I wanted to tell him face to face what a beautiful hotel he has and even the lowest paid staff are fantastic as I guess they don’t get much recognition, thank you for this, all in all I can only say this hotel was outstanding, you can do as much or as little s you want here and everything is catered for, I would totally return here as it was simply beautiful! Lastly the hotel has water bottles made from plants! Unbelievable and brilliant idea! Read less
