The hotel

The All Inclusive Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a huge range of room options, all with gorgeous views of the surrounding tropical gardens or the ocean. You can even choose a room with direct pool access or upgrade to Club Level for special privileges. Tucked between the mountains and the sea, it’s hailed as a paradise of rest, relaxation and recreation and rightly so! Prepare yourself for 'Service from the Heart!' — a genuine warm Jamaican welcome and service with a smile. For something a little special, head to the spa for a relaxing massage or body wrap. Whilst you do, the kids can play with other youngsters at their very own club, building sandcastles or getting stuck into some arts and crafts. With regards to restaurants, you’ll find plenty on your doorstep — at the Ziva, there’s a whole range of world cuisines to choose from! Visit Italy one night, and Asia when the mood takes you. We doubt very much you’ll be homesick but if you are, head to Union Jack’z — an English tavern that not only serves pub favourites but also features live music too. Alternatively, sip on cocktails on the rooftop at the Moroccan-inspired Fez.

During my stay at the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay, I encountered several issues that needed immediate attention. One of the shower heads in my room was broken, and instead of complaining, I opted to use the other shower. Additionally, the room temperature never dropped below 77°F at night. When the toilet stopped flushing, I called for assistance. Engineering discovered a broken internal part and attempted to address the AC issue but mentioned they had been experiencing multiple problems on that side of the hotel. They offered to bring me a fan as a temporary solution. Paying so much for a room and being offered a fan as if this was a discount hotel is unacceptable. When I called downstairs to report these issues, I was transferred to the front desk, but no one answered after multiple rings. I had spent a substantial amount of money on this stay, reserving two rooms for myself and my guest, and the lack of quality was disconcerting. I was deeply disappointed as this hotel, which used to be one of my favorites, had now become one of the last I would recommend. I was there for my anniversary and expected a much better experience. Additionally, I noticed that the quality of the drinks was quite poor. Many of them, including frozen drinks and sodas, were watered down. This was a recurring issue that needed to be addressed. The customer service was also subpar. While dining at the buffet, the staff rarely checked on us to see if we needed any assistance or drinks. One staff member, when asked for orange juice during breakfast, simply pointed to where it was and told me to get it myself. This level of service was unacceptable, especially considering I spent nearly $6,000 on my stay for two rooms. For a hotel that charges such high rates, the service needed significant improvement. This was, by far, the worst experience I have had, and I will not be returning. Read less

Hotel was nice but had a lot of issue at my time of stay. No air condition in the main buildings and some restaurants, not working properly in the rooms. also the bottom floor rooms had odors.
