My booked our stay at the Iberostar Suite for 8 days November 9 - 16, 2024. HOTEL CHECK-IN, STAFF, STATE OF ROOM: I booked a Junior Suite Ocean Front Room. Check-in was great, the staff, was polite and accommodating, he stated that he was giving me the one of the best ocean front room. We then got assigned someone to take us to our rooms with the luggage. When he open the room and we entered, my first response to him was, what is THIS? This is the room, this is the "Suite"? The room had 2 FULL Size beds, not even Queen size, and the "Suite" was a little step down area all-in-one room with a small sofa that was torn and threading and a small chipped up desk. We walked out to a small patio door that faced the beach. The room was run down and dated, the floor tiles were chipped, the furniture was chipped, the bathtub and shower were old and look run down, the ceiling had line marks. We were shown the in-room bar. There was a big red lamp shade between both beds that was tilting, one of those cheap paper lampshades. It was an old fridge with some soda, no liquor, just like you would have in a regular hotel. The towels were flat and looked more grey than white, there were 2 bath robes, no slippers and no toiletries, no shower caps, etc, stuff you would expect in a 5 star hotel. I was not happy with the room and I went back to the concierge and expressed my disappointment of the LACK and the depressing appearance of this room. He said he would take care of it. I was the first to check in from the party arriving for the wedding, so I decided not to say anything about my displeasure with the room, since it was a wedding and I didn't want the bride to feel bad about her choice. I would see what others say without influencing their opinion. You see we are all travelers who actually have stayed in 5 star hotels and have a certain expectation. My roof started leaking on the sofa bed and I had to be moved to another room as the hole for the leak kept getting bigger. Stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding got wet at the reception, had to sit on wet chair and table, cake fell on ground when moving for the second time due to rain, bride was crying and upset due to the errors and lack at the wedding. Based on my experience would bever use them as wedding planner. Pictures of hotel are misleading, current under construction and debris all on the grounds. Not the 5 Stars Hotel I was expecting at any stretch of the imagination. Read less

First impressions were great, wonderful lobby, attentive service at reception and our room was wonderful. The beds are possibly the comfiest we've ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was excellent with the biggest bath ever! Everything is spacious and immaculately clean. We found most of the staff very helpful, especially in the breakfast restaurant. Hope always had a smile for us and Raquel was very efficient. Food quality was not the best. No freshly squeezed orange juice like other Iberostar hotels I've stayed in, limited supplies of some foods. Two days they ran out of bacon and Nutella at breakfast and in the A la Carte restaurants often items were not available or were missing when our food came. In the Italian restaurant pizza was very hit and miss. They seemed to use different bases, one was delicious and one was dreadful. Our favourite was the Greek restaurant. The pool area is fantastic but the lazy river was closed for repairs and we had not been made aware of this. The beach and sea is beautiful and safe to swim though you do get hassled by hawkers. Overall we had a lovely holiday and would stay again. Read less

I hosted a wellness retreat here in April. This as a great resort. It is an all-inclusive resort that has 7 restaurants and 6 bars. It also has a wellness spa, casino, shopping and nightclub. This resort has 2 sister resorts attached one on either side. Now if you stay at selection you will have access to the Rose Hall resort which was equally as beautiful. You will not have access to the Adult Only resort from here. The lobby looked like something out of a movie, it was beautiful. They have a great concierge service in the lobby. They addressed every need we had during our stay. There was a 24 hour cafe in the lobby filled with delicious coffee, tea and pastries. The pools were stunning and the swim up bar was such fun. The property is beachfront so you will walk out of your suite and right onto the beach. My suite was breathtaking, I had an amazing view and I would go out on my balcony and enjoy it every morning around 530am so that I could enjoy the stunning sunrises. The food was plentiful and incredible. The resort has something for even the pickiest eaters. Although, I do wish they had more in the way of vegan and vegetarian options. However even without that I was still always full and happy. Since this is an all inclusive resort all drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)and food are included. When my party went there was no shortage of things to do and entertainment for us so if you have no desire to leave the resort it is not necessary because everything is on site including shopping. I would definitely recommend this resort for a group or even a family with kids. The set up is perfect. Read less

Me, my husband and our 2 kids (15 and 12 years) just spent an incredible 12 nights here. We generally stay in Europe at 3/4 star resorts and would definitely say this experience was a cut above. All the people working at the hotel are committed to giving everyone a fabulous holiday and seem to genuinely care. There are renovations going on so the hotel is at low capacity but this didn't worry us at all. One of the major pluses for us was the option to visit the a la carte restaurants whenever you liked for dinner with no booking (aside from Japanese). This was nice as meant you aren't eating at the buffet 2 to 3 times a day. Although no complaints at all about the options there. Big shout out to the entertainment team especially Quban, Telvin, Stretch, Ruth, Mr Nice, Chocolate. They work incredibily hard and like all at the hotel want to make sure you have a good time. We did a couple of trip days - adventure park for ziplining and river activities and the Nigril beach and Ricks cafe. Both were great but not cheap when taking a family of 4 for the whole day out. Tips - we are from the UK and we always tip at bars and restaurants but didn't realise here you tip for most things. This isn't forced at all, but good to be aware even on day trips when doing activities the staff will say tips are appreciated. Overall we loved our stay and are already talking about wanting to go back in the future. Read less
