It was a wonderful experience in Le meridian Maldives.The staffs were amazing especially the Chef Pradeep Poojari, his food was amazing. Chef Suraj and Jennifer were so caring and supportive. The coordination of the management team while going back was so good because of their effort we didn’t miss the flight . I will strongly recommend this hotel to my friends . Read less

The time spent here has been amazing. The location is marvellous (very easy to see fish and corals quite everywhere), the food is good and the staff is always eager to support you for any need or desire. We stayed at the Meridien for 5 nights, and couldn't have asked for a more blissful and relaxing time. Having spent 450+ nights at Marriott hotels, this was by far the best service and experience ever. The rooms (we got sunset overwater villa) and overall amenities were incredible. Constantly serviced and everything kept in pristine condition, service requests met so quickly. I'm a huge foodie and found the breakfast and all the restaurants to be top notch. Better Australian steak than 99% of restaurants in Australia at Veela. All the food is really fresh, super tasty, presented beautifully, huge variety, the ambiance of each restaurant authentic to their proposition. Great to see the head chef Asaf always in the restaurants, interacting with the guests. We did a photoshoot too and the results were beautiful, such a great souvenir of our time. They had a lot of activities each day, I tried yoga, pilates and it was all amazing. The spa was incredible, what a treat! And the house reef simply stunning. The entire resort felt really 'boutiquey' - never crowded, always peace and quiet, all the other guests were lovely & respectful, even the kids in the pool were super well behaved (which is not the case with most family-friendly resorts). The best part was each and every staff member working so hard to make each guest's time unforgettable. They were so good at problem solving with you when things came up e.g., it rained our last couple of nights and we couldn't do our dinner on the beach, but quickly a teppanyaki dinner at Tabemasu was offered as an alternative. Amazing work to GM Mr Thomas and his entire team for creating such a seamless experience in such a remote location. Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews, but I owe one here. A lot has been said about Maldives on web / other reviews and I won't repeat that here. It is as beautiful as one would imagine...and more. Le Meridien Maldives Resorts and Spa could be a poster child of quintessential Maldives experience, and only thing that could top the nature's beauty was the warm hospitality shown by each and every person working here. So I want to make this all about people who made this vacation truly special. Reception - Puja, Jin, Kristina, and Mavluda - Puja made sure that my loyalty status with Marriott is honored. She stayed on top of every request - may it be food related or room upgrade related - and communicated promptly to make sure we are taken care of. Jin was the first reception person we met when we first arrived on the island, and she drove us on buggy to tour the island and later the villa. She also made arrangements for the private photo session. Kristina and Mavluda also helped us with buggy rides and other requests such as lounge reservations at the sea plane terminal. All these ladies always greeted us with warm smile and made each and every effort to make our stay memorable. Dive Center - Ping, Yizu and team: Ping was our instructor, and Yizu was the captain of the boat for house reef snorkeling experience. Wow... this was sublime! We saw all shaded of blue in what we would call crystal clear water, and met entire cast of Finding Nemo. Ping shot a video that would give National Geographic a run for their money. Yizu navigated the boat to and from the house reef and offered helping hand every time we needed one. Buggy - Adam and team: We had Adam helping with buggy ride many times, and each and every one of them was courteous and helpful. We rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes for our buggy to arrive. Photography - Riyaz - He was the photographer who captured our memories in his camera. He was extremely kind, helpful, and made every effort to make this photo session the best one we can have on this remote island. He patiently waited for us so we could select the best shots and then delivered the beautiful photos as promised. Turquoise restaurant - Mauch - We mainly dined at this restaurant every night, and Mauch was our server for most of those visits. he always greeted us with warm, genuine smile and made sure our dining experience was pleasant. The breakfast buffet at this restaurant was stellar too. Sunrise yoga / Spa - Raj and his team - We first met Raj in sunrise yoga class - extremely friendly and caring person. He recommended that we should visit the spa. We again saw him at the Spa at the front as he greeted us with a smile. He made sure that we got a top notch spa experience. What a beautiful backdrop for a spa which is located on the water. As we pampered ourselves with the spa treatment, we saw fish swimming through the glass floor underneath the massage table. Who needs music playing in background when you could hear the real waves crashing the shore! Kids Club - Sandy and team - She made sure our daughter enjoyed all the activities and helped her create a piece of art she could keep as a memory from this trip! Sea plane dock - security person - He was helpful every time we were on this dock and helped us with luggage and other things with a smile. Engineering - Jitesh - We needed help with something that needed some tools, and Jitesh arrived promptly and fixed the issue. We should also mention here that when you think of Maldives - you think of beautiful beaches - but rarely the amazing sky. One night we were hanging out in balcony of our overwater villa. We saw probably millions of stars, Milky Way Galaxy, Horsehead Nebula, a couple of shooting stars and some object entering earth's orbit causing the sky to light up...all within a few minutes. This was above and beyond we could imagine..surreal! Big thanks to each and every person above, and everyone working on this island to make this trip truly the best! It is incredible that all these people live on this island, away from their family and friends, in pursuit of making our stay memorable! This whole trip was like a movie, a very special movie that we will forever cherish and remember, the one we acted in...along with all the incredible cast above! Read less
