1st of all, I want to deliver my spical Thanks to Mr. Ali and Ms. Jaya at reception for their professional support and the way they make our stay better and nice. In term of the resort island, the resort design villas are not as excepted compared with other Maldives resorts that I been there in the past! Villas are small and very close to each other! Actually, their name should be rephrased to "Room Over Water" instead of "Villa Over Water"! even the villas are very close to main walkway which effect the privacy! Restaurants and foods are GOOD. 2nd which is very important for some, in term of island and its lagoon, island its self is Ok but if you focus on sea and its color then you have rethink about your choices. You would be doing yourself an injustice if you stayed in the southern part in particular of this island, as the sea veiw is BAD due to the abundance of algae, which has affected the cleanliness and color of the sea and does not reflect the magic of the Maldives seas/beaches. If you go there, make sure to stay in the farthest villas on the northern side, as the view of the sea there is better and more beautiful. Read less

This was our second trip to Le Meridien Maldives and it was truly an unforgettable experience! I let the hotel staff know in advance we were celebrating our honeymoon and they went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. This property punches above its weight when it comes to service. The service is outstanding... more comparable to a Ritz Carlton than a Le Meridien. We were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to an overwater villa with private pool - this room type was incredible! It's hard to find something to complain about this hotel - it was an easy decision to spend our honeymoon here and it's well worth the long journey from the US. This hotel truly deserves its high rating. Special shoutout to Ali - who did a great job of taking care of us throughout our stay with our special requests and surprises throughout. He really is a great asset to the LM team! Here's a few more comments about our stay: We tried Turquoise, Velaa, and Riveira Tapas Bar during our stay for all meals. We got the full board package and were pleased with the value and variety on offer. Not only was the food outstanding, but the variety of creative non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails and coffee was impressive for a non-drinker like me. We also visited the spa for a massage. This is another area Le Meridien Maldives shines. The spa is overwater and very tranquil. It was fun to watch the fish swim underneath the window on the floor during our treatment :) We also highly recommend the sunset dolphin cruise - we saw literally dozens of dolphins in the open ocean and it was a sight I won't forget! One fun part of this hotel is that they give everyone snorkeling gear to use during your stay for free upon request. The hotel has a coral reef near the end of the west jetty that you can explore on your own for free. It's a beautiful experience! We noticed more fish this time around compared to our previous trip two years ago. Finally, the room. We love that this hotel offers the ability to book into an overwater villa with Marriott Bonvoy points at reasonable rates. That's what drew us here in the first place. I really hope the hotel continues to offer this. During our first stay a few years ago, we stayed in a sunrise overwater villa. This time we stayed in a sunset overwater villa with pool. Both rooms are the same size and wonderfully setup. The wet bath and rainfall shower next to the wide windows was a real treat. This really is the perfect room for couples! A little tip: I recommend you request a room on the west jetty - I think the views from this jetty on the sunset and sunrise side are outstanding. Plus you'll be close to the hotel's house reef for snorkeling! Thank you Le Meridien Maldives for another outstanding stay!! Read less

My greatest experience there was my first scuba dive session. Vanz was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable to ensure I picked the right package for my experience. Idis my scuba instructor was very informative and knowledgeable. She made feel safe and her instructions was clear. She provided me the greatest experience in scuba diving that I will pick up this hobby because of her. Thank you all the the staff that I could not mention in this review. I will be back with the whole family next time. Read less
