Where is it

Located on a private island in Raa Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 45 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

167 beach and water villas. All with LED TV, WiFi, living and dining areas, mini-bar (replenished daily), safe, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Beach Villas are 61sqm and located just steps away from the beach, with a terrace, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Raaya Plan All Inclusive includes: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Access to speciality restaurants: Ampers&nd – Bar & Restaurant, Mizaj and The Village. Premium brands of spirits, wines, and beers. Cocktails and signature drinks. Mocktails, seasonal fresh fruit juices, soft drinks, RAAYA still and sparkling water, and a variety of tea and coffee. Champagne welcome drink on arrival. In-villa mini-bar stocked with wines, beers, soft beverages, and snacks. Beach Villas with Pool are 91sqm and are on the beachfront, with a private plunge pool and daybed on the terrace, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

Water Villas are 73sqm and are located on a private deck with a daybed, overwater hammock and steps down into the lagoon. Villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Water Villas with Pool are 80sqm and have a private plunge pool on the deck, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Bedroom Family Beach Villas are interconnecting villas offering plenty of living spaces, terrace with dining area, hammock, and daybeds, with 2 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

2 Bedroom Family Beach Villas with pool are also available. Spanning 232sqm, these interconnecting villas offer a spacious terrace with dining area, hammock, and daybeds, plus a 19sqm pool. With 2 king-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Overall a great experience at Raaya Island, clean and an exceptionally hospitable service from staff and hosts. We went for a beach villa stay and over water villa stay with pools in both. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the pools, and also the waters around. The island is huge in comparison to other more expensive resorts that are only perhaps a few linear streets long, while Raaya is heavily populated with wildlife and greenary, hugged by a circular dirt road. The beach villas are adequately spacious though not the biggest, but the water villas are fantastic for the boundless views it gives. Apple and I would like to commend the exceptional service quality we received from some of the staff members from Raaya. That includes: * Putu - Chef at Raaya, whom was very warm, constantly asking for our feedback on the food. He also accommodated our background and even suggested and cooked us food that is not on the buffet menu. Seafood Mussels etc. He cooked food that is suitable for our taste pallette. Great chats as well and professional etiquette. * Mehri - Sweet and cheerful staff who helped and waited for us under the hot weather while we played sports. She also took time off her break to help us finish constructing our Dhoni wood mini boat and gave us painting tools for it. Her hospitable service is second to none from this Raaya Island. The island is amazing for its beauty, but some improvements has to be made before it can be considered a top tier destination. This includes the heavy mosquito situation which makes travelling feel like a drag and it's quite bad, and the wifi weak spots where internet is lacking. This and the inclusion of bathtubs will truly make Raaya a target destination favoured by more resort seekers. Read less

Our honeymoon at Raaya by Atmosphere Maldives was exceptional. The service at Raaya Life, Soaq Bar, The Village and Ampers& was outstanding, exceeding expectations. We enjoyed snorkeling, a sunset cruise, fishing, spa therapy, and a magical candlelight dinner by the beach. The full board inclusive dining offered delicious options, and the well-appointed rooms ensured a comfortable and luxurious stay. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless, making our experience unforgettable. Raaya by Atmosphere Maldives is highly recommended for a romantic honeymoon or a luxurious getaway.
