AND THE STAFF - I had no idea that staff could be this welcoming and genuinely lovely. They sing when you arrive, great you with a cold towel and personally escort you to your room. Disney holds no flame to sandals, specifically La Toc. HUGE thank you to Travis, aka “the bow tie man”. We wish we could take him home with us! What a friend! He’s going places with sandals for sure!! HUGE thank you to Sheldon in the lobby! He personally got to know us and greeted us by name. He exchanged stories and recommendations with humor and fun!! Love him!! Thank you from Rick and Emily!!🫶🏻 Read less

We also did a fun excursion that explored the whole island. However the standout has been Charles, he has been so friendly and a joy to talk with. He is always coming around checking in on us to make sure we have the best stay, and has the biggest smile on his face. He really took the experience over the top from good to great! It is a beautiful island and with beautiful people. Read less

We stayed in an Oceanfront 2 story, 1 bedroom butler suite that was just steps away from the ocean. A great place to stay if you enjoy the sound of the waves. The food, drinks and amenities were wonderful but the best part was our butler team. We had 3 different butlers, Joy, Gem and Michael and they were the best part of the trip. They anticipated our every need. They had champagne chilling, ice prepped for drinks, dinner reservations made, and surprises throughout the day. Appetizers and specialty cocktails delivered to us at the beach along with our request for lunch. They made a great team and you should request them! Thanks you all! Read less

Just returned from 9 nights at La Toc. I noticed alot of mixed reviews and since we have stayed at three different Sandals now, I should shed some light. We stayed Club Level (which I would highly recommend). The staff in the Club Sandals lounge took care of everything we needed. They booked our restaurant reservations, massages, and ensured our mini bar was always stocked with our favorites. If we called the desk for anything (including changing pillows) it was handled quickly. Nothing but compliments for their crew. Restaurants: La Toc was the best hands down. Had a wonderful filet mignon, escargot and Prosecco. Loved it! The Pitons was also good. We really loved Kimonos and Soy (went there twice for Sushi). It was extremely fresh and awesome. The dinners at the Pavillion and Neptunes were also very good. I would skip Alfredos if I had to do again. I can make boxed overcooked pasta at home. The breakfast buffet should really not be looked at as anything other than sustenance. I would have liked more fresh fruit instead of canned fruit, but I recognize fresh items may not be in season. The beach: red flags every day. This was a bummer but it's an easy bus ride to Halcyon or The Grand where the beaches are calm. We resort hopped two days to the Grand (we've stayed there before) and one day to Halcyon. I would recommend staying at Halcyon if you want quiet and relaxation. The pools are not crowded, and people aren't partying. The staff was very nice. We very much enjoyed the day there. I would recommend The Grand for the beach and overall beauty. The beach there is calm, and everyone is in the water. The resort is immaculate. Why we chose La Toc: we are divers and learned from staying at The Grand the best diving is south of the La Toc resort. The Grand typically does not go that far down the island. We dove 5 out of 9 days and really enjoyed it. Two wreck dives, Superman's Flight (up against the Pitons) and Anse Chastanet. We saw lots of turtles, eels, and a few rays. The bummer is you have to take a shuttle from La Toc to the dive boat and in traffic can take up to 40 minutes. Still would not have impacted our decision. The diver guides were great. Benny (spelling probably not right) and Tiny were super fun. La Toc: the resort is beautiful. I didn't see anything falling apart like I've read in previous reviews. The pools were clean, and our housekeeping was done every day. No complaints at all about the property. We had a wonderful stay. Shout outs: John at the pool bar is the man. I heard complaints about watered down drinks; to remedy any preconceived ideas we asked for a little more booze or an extra shot. It was never an issue. Problem solved. We also loved Tamara, Amanda and Germain. The one thing we noticed is the pool bar is understaffed. The staff is working so fast and hard to make all these complicated drinks and they are unable to meet the demand during the day. There should be more than 2 bartenders at the pool bar during the day. My suggestion. Kizzy was our favorite in the restaurants. No matter where we were sitting, she would find us and make sure we were good. Her smile and laugh were awesome, and we loved her. We also loved Prescilla at the Pavillion. Jeanine in the lobby was awesome. She took very good care of me when I was wandering around looking for the shuttle. Such a nice lady. At Kimonos we loved Rodel. He was our chef and could not stop with the bad jokes (it was funny though). At the Grand, we really want to give props to Matthew and Randy (bartenders). They were so much fun and work so hard. The only aloof staff we found were at Hubies bar. We tried to be kind and were met with unfriendliness. That was literally the only time we had nothing but great service. Overall, the staff was so sweet and welcoming. Thank you, Sandals, for a great vacation! We will see you again! Read less

This was my first, and last time going to Sandals. Sandals should be called Scamdals. I paid $1000 a day to stay here at this resort. Take your heard earned money elsewhere as this is a truly shameful representation of Sandals. Came for my honeymoon, booked a honeymoon suite and got left in a room with a view and noise of construction… Speaking to other guests, they got free upgrades for being there on their birthdays, but nothing for honeymooners. When I called to ask for a room change, they tried to upsell me. The food was a rather poor experience. Small portions, fairly bland meals. Sushi was gross, Neptun was ok, breakfast at Pavilion was bland and uninspired. Two exceptions were La Toc and Teppanyaki restaurant. Private candle dinner was pretty good too. Also, this is a resort on St. Lucia… how can you possibly not have freshly caught seafood in your menus??! You served frozen seafood… Staff were okay, but you could tell most were unhappy and fairly unfriendly. You’re made to feel like a burden when asking for things you’re entitled to. They refused to bring us room service at some point because we weren’t Sandals members?? IDK how that makes any sense, but ok. Special shout out to Charles for going above and beyond at the main pool though. The hotel’s facilities are more akin to a 3* hotel. Very dated. Bathrooms smelling like urine during the day. Lots of cockroaches especially at Armando’s. Saw rats going around the resort as well. I booked a private tour with your tour desk. While the guide was a decent enough guy, his knowledge of St. Lucia was rather underwhelming and he’d make up answers on the spot (i.e. he said St. Lucia makes electricity via nuclear plants lol). Thankfully my Wife was determined to just focus on having a good time (easier said than done with this resort), so I didn’t come complain. There’s lots to be said about why I’d never spend another penny on Sandals but will leave it here. See you never! Read less
