The hotel

Located between the Caribbean Sea and the Lagoon of Bahia Petempich in the Yucatan Peninsula. Only 15 miles away from South Cancun. 25 minutes from Playa del Carmen. Transfer time from airport: 15 minutes.

Pool area was great! Entire wait staff was fantastic. Rosewater restaurante had the best lunch. Edwin recommended the best drinks and offered great service by the pool and Fabian always set us up with the best spot by the pool and kept us cool!

Staying at Secrets was wonderful. The cleanest resort I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were so friendly. Urbano our waiter at the pool was phenomenal. They were all so attentive. I will definitely be coming back here. The food and drinks were all delicious.

Secrets activities director, Andreas, was excellent and took great care of us during our stay. We appreciated his enthusiasm and energy. Now I would expect him to be better at volleyball since he plays everyday 😀 just kidding Andre! Staff were very friendly and helpful including pool staff and preferred club staff.

Clean, courteous, prompt service, food was hit or miss.....literally either loved it or thought it was worse than fast food, especially the outdoor buffet venues....food got very dry very quick and not monitored well outside vs inside. Alcohol sold as top shelf but my guess is anyone who drinks regularly doesn't drink any of the brands… Read more

Alcohol sold as top shelf but my guess is anyone who drinks regularly doesn't drink any of the brands provided....or should I say "bottom shelf" brands to be more clear.....Wasn't even close and is a deal kill going forward for any other stays at Hyatt all inclusive resorts.
