We just got back from celebrating our 25th anniversary in Cancun. We got there at 11am so we knew we would have to wait to check in. We were told to be there between 3pm and no later than 3:10pm to complete our check in. We were there promptly at 3pm just to be told our room wasn’t ready and we would have to continue to wait for housekeeping to finish. It eventually was ready at about 3:30pm. We were given an upgrade to the Preferred Club because we agreed to listen to their presentation to the Unlimited Club. We were told it would be no longer than 90 minutes. We went to that and at 2 hours and 20 minutes later we told them we were done and wanted to enjoy our vacation. That process left a bad taste in our mouth and was high pressure and wouldn’t recommend. Otherwise the stay was great. It’s a smaller property compared to others we have stayed at but kind of what you expect being on the main strip of Cancun. Not many places to wander around or walk if that’s your thing. Food was better than most all inclusives that we have stayed at. Breakfast was great. We ate at the Asian restaurant once, the Italian restaurant once and the steakhouse twice. The Asian restaurant was closed two of the 4 days we were there so that was disappointing. The food there was great and we wanted to try it again but it wasn’t available. Steaks at the steakhouse were good. They were cooled properly and seemed to be good quality meat. I had the NY strip and it was about a 12oz cut. For men, make sure you abide by the dress code because they are strict about enforcing it. The rooms were nice. Great view from our room on the 24th floor. Mini bar was stocked for the most part. Pool area was nice. It got crowded and chairs were full if you didn’t get out before 11am or so. Our pool waitress was excellent. Good selection of beers instead of just one choice. They had Dos Equis, Coors Lt, Amstel Ultra, and Tecate Light. Beach area was nice. Water was beautiful. It is a public beach so there are lots of vendors but they don’t bother you too much. Read less

For the premium in price that you pay, the food selection and quality could be a lot better. Management changes have affected the quality of the food, especially at the buffet. My husband and I went with friends for a quick child free getaway. Amazing service and nice hotel. I know there are lots of choices in Cancun, but overall we had a great experience here and very much recommend. So many staff members went over and beyond and were appreciated.
