The hotel

Famous for the continuous white sand beach surrounding the entire island, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is an idyllic setting for romantic and family trips alike. The 52 acre island allows for space and seclusion when you want it, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere and live music, when you’re ready for an upbeat evening. Sunset Horizon Water Villas are great for couples getaways – savour that Maldivan sunset each day from your private outdoor jacuzzi with a sundowner in hand, these are some of the most coveted accommodations on the island. If there’s a group of you, you might want to opt for a Pool Beach Villa, with ample space for outdoor drinks on the beachfront terrace and a dip in the private pool. If you’re feeling active then there’s plenty to keep you on your feet, from watersports to tennis, or for a more relaxing activity then visit the award winning spa for a treatment, the kids will be well looked after in the kids’ club whilst you get some much needed “me time”. Where is it

Nestled within the Noonu Atoll, a group of unspoilt islands just a 45 minute seaplane journey north of Malé (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Full Board option includes: the same meal options as the Half Board plan, with the addition of lunch at Iru, Reflections or Fluid Bar.

All Inclusive option includes: the same meal options as the Full Board plan, with the addition of 40% discount on food at Islander's grill at lunch and 50% discount on In villa dining (food only) at lunch and dinner. Enjoy selected beverages in all operational bars and restaurants, one snack per person, per day at Waters Edge from 11:00am-5:00pm, daily ice cream at La Cremeria, mini-bar with wine, beers, soft drinks, water, tea/coffee, and 4 coffee capsules, refilled once per day. All Inclusive of the following activities: stand up paddle boarding or kayaking (one hour per day, per villa). One local island experience excursion per person per stay. Deluxe Beach Villas with Pool are the same size and layout as the Deluxe Beach Villas, with the additional of a private pool stretching out onto the beach, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Family Deluxe Beach Villas with Pool are larger in size, with a sliding door separating the bedroom and living area, as well as a private pool stretching out onto the beach, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 3 children.

Pool Beach Villas feature a curved private pool with daybed and canopy, as well as a separate living area and bedroom with king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 3 children.

Water Villas are perched above the lagoon on stilts, with steps leading straight into the ocean, and feature a glass viewing floor, private sun deck, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Horizon Water Villas are similar to Water Villas, with the addition of an outdoor jacuzzi on the deck with uninterrupted ocean views, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Sunset Horizon Water Villas offers the same layout and features as the Horizon Water Villas, but are positioned for sunset views from the deck.

Lovely place, everything you need to spend a great time. Beautiful beaches, great food and service. Just a little details to improve , especially the last day before taking the hydroplane, a bit confusing, other than that a fantastic experience with my family.

From start to finish we have had an amazing time here! The staff cannot do enough for you. Special mention for our butler Azzam who provided exceptional service to us and saved us from having to return home straight away as my husband had forgotten some important anti rejection medicines. Azzam was straight on to the doctor for us and the medication arrived within 24 hours. He was always available when we needed him. Management are also very visible and approachable. All staff were very friendly. Food was a good quality and we were able to get reservations in all the restaurants when we wanted them. I would recommend downloading their app as it made booking things a lot easier. Our favourite restaurants were trio and bamboo. The main restaurant offered a good selection for breakfast. We mainly had lunch by the adult pool. We did book the lobster bbq but unfortunately the rain decided to arrive then so we ended up going to the main restaurant to eat in the dry lol. We decided to treat ourselves to a floating breakfast and that was amazing! We couldn’t finish it all. We mainly used the beach and adult pool. Although the resort was busy it never seemed crowded anywhere. There was always something to do. Due to mobility issues we used the golf buggies to get around the island a lot and we never waited more than five minutes for them to arrive. Once they realised I found it easier with the lower buggies they always tried to send one of them where possible. We don’t usually return to the same place but I would make an exception for here! Snorkelling - can’t be compared to Egypt but they are doing their best to improve it. Was fabulous to see the baby sharks as you walk along the shoreline and from out over the water villa. We were also lucky enough to see the turtles by the diving centre. We did the nemo snorkel and it was interesting to see the work they are doing to restore and conserve the coral. We spent seven nights in a deluxe bungalow then four nights in an over the water villa. For us that was the perfect mix. Yes the rooms aren’t modern but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. And, to be honest, we only really used them to sleep in and get ready to go out. Only thing I would recommend is that they automatically put plastic glasses in the rooms to use around the pool but they were very quickly provided when we asked for them. Although we went during their rainy season it only rained a lot for one day and then just random showers occasionally. Read less

This is our 1st trip to the Maldives from the UK for a special holiday and it’s not disappointed us. We would love to return. This island 🏝️ is stunning and truly paradise. Wow! We were welcomed off the sea plane by staff with a tropical flower and local music and introduced to the fabulous Naveen who has been on hand daily during our stay if we have questions or any requests. Awesome service by an outstanding butler. The soft , sandy white beaches and the azure sea is heavenly to wake up to everyday. The sea is warm and refreshing to swim in. Plenty of places to snorkel to see underwater delights. Definitely take a guided snorkel session with amazing staff at the diving centre like Mujaz who show you Nemo park and keep you safe. For more confident snorkellers, try the house reef which is even more stunning. Water sports (kayaks, banana boat etc) also available. Plenty to do here on this island. A brilliant resort app tells you what’s on and you can just ask your Butler to organise and book things for you if you don’t want to organise it yourself on the app. Apparently this resort is close to capacity but it doesn’t feel busy at all. The layout and design of your accommodation and the communal dining and recreation spaces are superbly planned and landscaped. Our beach villa with own pool with its own sun loungers on the beach and there are shady day beds and garden furniture on your patio in your villa garden for privacy. What more do you need? Inside the villa, air con is excellent and much needed in this heat. Scrupulously clean and airy and our daily housekeeping / water delivery by Anil is wonderful. He is a superstar. One night we were too warm even with air con so next day he delivered us sheets to help. The staff here are so impressive and nothing is too much trouble. Everything runs smoothly and in a professional manner. We feel in safe hands. There’s a variety of dining options: our favourites were lunches at Reflections and dinners at Trio or Bamboo. We really enjoyed the Sunset dolphin cruise- the boat staff were outstanding and helped the children get the best footage of the dolphins. Great memories. If you are feeling like being pampered or needing help to relax further book yourself a treatment at the Thalgo spa which is an oasis of calm and serenity. Tropical plants and flowers surround you as you unwind. We enjoyed pilates in the spa and used the hydrotherapy suite. It was tough not booking a daily treatment here! Overall an amazing family holiday that surpassed our expectations. We will be returning home rejuvenated and blessed to have had this experience at this resort. Thank you to all the staff here. 👏 . This is the second time in this hotel. A very green island, great beaches, a lively reef. Good service, delicious food, a large selection of drinks, fancy restaurants, two-time room cleaning, a calm and cozy atmosphere, a good kids club, live music in the evenings.

It is not often that the Instagram or written description matches the expectations. I would highly recommend this resort for family and couples. The food the entertainment and the hospitality has been phenomenal. We will certainly be back.
