I don’t know where to begin, we have had a fabulous stay here and would highly recommend, please do your research first. It is remote, that’s the beauty of it. It is small, that’s why you get personal service. The staff here work extremely hard to make all the guest have a memorable stay, every single person has been kind and helpful, always… Read more

It is small, that’s why you get personal service. The staff here work extremely hard to make all the guest have a memorable stay, every single person has been kind and helpful, always trying to go the extra mile. The rooms are great, spotless, large and icy cold air con! The only thing I would advise is to bring plenty of quality mozzie repels and bite cream - but that’s Antigua per se, not just here. Mac and I would like to thank each and every member of staff here, it’s a gem of a hotel I’d also like to add something to offset some negative reviews - my husband left his phone in the bar after one too many rum punches and it was safely in the draw at reception Read less

Pros: Great staff who assist with planning out your days including arranging transportation and excursions, good food, plunge pools in every room (although they were very cold) and a beautiful view of the bay, shuttle to Shirley Heights (at a cost), BBQ night at the hotel, modern rooms, free bottle of champagne for our honeymoon Cons: The hotels nearby beach is underwhelming and not even worth visiting due to the amount of seaweed, the Green Island beach is super small with no food or drink options, also lots of painful thorns on the Green Island beach, no buffet dining option, lots of mosquitoes or possibly sand fleas/flies (bring bug spray), no in room mini bar, no indoor dining option, everything is at least 30 mins away by cab which adds up, limited breakfast menu, food only served during certain time frames, the wall to the toilet closet does not extend to the ceiling so it doesn't allow for much privacy. Overall, I had a decent time, but I would not recommend staying here if you want a beach vacation. It would probably be better to stay on the other side of the island. Read less

Let me first say that we did have a relaxing time until..... The one horrible experience we had ruined the entire trip for us. We noticed on our last day that we had been robbed of all of our money in our room. Those who "clean" your room will come during the times you are not there even if you use their method to indicate to them to leave your room alone. Meals are done on a reservation basis so the times that you won't be in your room will be known and possibly communicated to others. We did let Escape know what happened and of course nothing was done. I noticed that someone else had a similar experience at this resort and they posted a review here also. I thought the theft was a one off but maybe it's a problem here and not many people are leaving a review about it. There are some good, hardworking staff members here and I hate to paint everyone with a broad brush but it's a shame that a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. Read less

Wonderful food and staff! Clean and relaxing place for family and friends to enjoy time together 😊 We spent a week together and I wish I could stay there longer because I was just getting to know the staff at the Escape 🥰 Everyone were so nice and accommodating to everyone! Just to see them again, I would love to visit again soon!

We just got home from our stay and it was below satisfactory, to say the least. The food is disgusting! We booked based off the reviews of the food. Not sure if the hotel paid for those reviews or not, but those good reviews were entirely a lie. We ended up eating out for 4 meals and had to choose the lobster ($40 upcharge) on our final night because everything else was nasty, bland and cold. The best thing on the menu was the corn chowder. Please bring in an executive chef not just cook. I understand the clientele seems to be majority European but there really should be a local cuisine option on your menu each night. Even the American food was unseasoned and dry. The resort is on the opposite side of the island so you have to take a $40-$60 taxi to get food in other parts of the island There was blood on our sheets after being serviced from day two. There was no wifi for 3 of 4 days. We would've liked to watch a movie at night because there's no resort entertainment, but couldn't because the TV didn't work either. The mosquitoes are insufferable The staff were pleasant but with only 40 rooms, you would think there would be more attention to customer service by the pool. Why is there no waiter by the pool? or porter for towels? You have to do everything yourself! It is not a 4 star experience at all. I get better service at the Hilton residence. My massage, at 11:30a, in the last hour of my trip was the best part of my stay Overall, very disappointing. Read less
