This is my second time staying here, came last year with my wife for her birthday and this year with my brother for the cricket world cup final. It was no brainer for me to book here again, last year was amazing here and once again this year I was not left disappointed. The staff as per last year make this place special, their service is impeccable. Food here is amazing, didn't eat anywhere else apart from Oistens on a Friday night. From breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea to dinner the food always hit the spot, it not your regular all inclusive- the food here is fresh and cooked for you. Clyde hats off to you for managing the restaurant so well and good to see you again this year (you told us India would win and they did haha). Michelle, Shane and the rest of the bar staff (forgive me there was a new guy this year and I've forgot him name) but they was all amazing, all 3 of them as always- top quality drinks from top quality people with amazing personalities. Michelle is just Michelle- every review will mention Michele- she's just the best, make sure you do the rum tasting with here.. make sure you have a heavy breakfast. The hotel is amazing, set a brilliant location with perfect views on the beach. Rooms are spacious and amazing. A special shout to all the staff from the restaurant staff to cleaners ect- keep doing what you're doing, you all keep this hotel being amazing. I will most likely be coming again next year to stay here for my 3rd year in a row. Read less

Articulating stairs to the 4th floor was not good with my bad back. But the hotel provided someone to carry our bags up the stairs. However that negative is overshadowed by the many great enjoyable experiences that we had. From courteous staff in all areas to entertaining bartenders (Shane was the best), good drinks, a great pool and the waves from the ocean right in their back yard. A great experience. Both my wife and I would stay there again. -Geraldine and Leyland Williams Read less

This little beachfront boutique hotel in Barbados was a delight. If you’re expecting fancy rooms, don’t book. If you’re expecting clean rooms with a beautiful views and amenities to make your stay great, then book . There were about 24 rooms all with views and a great size. As others have stated, there is no elevator, but only four floors. Food was amazing, and it was an inclusive. Bonus was that every other day the menu changed. We are talking delicious food. Complete with local fish as well many Mediterranean style food. The staff were delightful and so accommodating. Even doing a little something special for our anniversary. We arrived after the hurricane, so the beach was affected, but the day we left it was all back, complete with sand and lounges. It was very quiet, which was perfect for a 50th anniversary celebration . There was entertainment only for one night with sparkling wine and a managers meet and greet including a fabulous saxophone player. The bartenders, the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff, including the front desk, were all amazing! All so helpful with lovely smiles! We will certainly be back! Read less

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the location of the hotel is good, sea views lovely, it’s a small hotel so you get to know people and its very social, but we won’t go back for a number of reason. First lets start with the good things: Beds very comfortable Aircon works well Bar staff excellent Food VERY good. With the exception of the breakfast menu there is a rolling menu which changes every 2 days. The quality of food is very good, service can be a little slow at times if a lot of people arrive at the same time as everything is cooked to order, but its well worth the wait! We got a little bored of the breakfast menu as that didn’t change and the choice was not huge. Others not so good things to note: Level of cleanliness is not brilliant. Although the rooms are serviced daily, the bare minimum was done, beds made, towels replaced, bathroom wiped down and floors washed – although what they washed them with I don’t know as they were always slight tacky underfoot. Don’t look under the beds, its clear they have not been moved for some time! Rooms are tired, our shower leaked the entire time and hot water was not always available. Toilet seat was stained underneath and best not thought about. Grouting all very dirty throughout. Having the doors to the balcony open was impossible. They understandably ask you to switch off the aircon if youdo, which we did, but all that happened was the room filled with condensation and the floors became an ice rink! Our aircon was set at 23 so not even low and no matter how long we tried it never cleared, we gave up in the end. We did wonder if this was the residue left on the floor after they cleaned? Staff in the restaurant were often disinterested and clearly did not want to be there, there were one or two who were much friendlier but otherwise they bordered on rude at times! The biggest problem is the lack of sun loungers around the pool. We were aware of this before we travelled, but had hoped to use the sun loungers on the beach. However hurricane Beryl hit 24 hours before we arrived and the sand on the beach is gone! There was a meter step down onto whats left of the beach. So for the entire of our trip there was only 12 beds around the pool which for a 24 room hotel is not enough. There is lots of other seating available, but no one used his and so why they didn’t move some of those and put loungers out there instead I really don’t know - we were told by the receptionist the "Management" didn't want to do this. We realise the hurricane was not their fault, but they did nothing to try and resolved the issues caused by it. Read less
