Pure paradise if you’re heading to Hawaii for its beaches, Alohilani boasts contemporary design and is steps from Waikiki Beach’s exclusive ‘Kuhio’ stretch. You can be snorkelling, surfing or swimming just moments after you arrive. If that’s not enough water, Alohilani Resort’s 280,000 gallon Oceanarium is filled with Hawaiian reef fishes, creating a soothing setting for drinks at O Bar and island breakfasts at Lychee. And, if your aquatic thirst still isn’t quenched, the fifth floor pool deck’s an impeccably chic setting, with its infinity pool, paddling pool, bar, overstuffed teak loungers, driftwood sculptures, and ocean views. You could even splash out on a cabana or water lounger. By night, it’s a magical space with lanterns, fire pits, and live music, ideal after dining in one of its two restaurants led by world-famous ‘Iron Chef’ Masaharu Morimoto.

Amazing staff with clean rooms and a very well kept property. Make sure you add the Longboard Club to your stay for a great breakfast and happy hour bites with beer and wine! Well worth it. They also have a beautiful gym for you to use and the pool is always happening

The staff were friendly and helpful as we checked in and during our stay. The resort is easy walking distance from the Waikiki beach and popular areas of Honolulu so we were happy. The view from our room was good with a small view of the beach. The room itself was adequate in size, and the bathroom had the sink area outside the separate toilet room and tub which was small. The door to that area barely cleared the toilet and in trying to step aside of the door closing during the night my leg bumped the side of the tub, kicking my foot out from under me, and caused a painful fall which I reported. The four elevators to our 28th floor were often very busy, and the ice machine was on the floor above us so it was faster to walk the stairs to get ice and waiting awhile going and coming. Otherwise we enjoyed the resort which had a pool and restaurant we didn't have time to try out. Oh, and it also has a nice aquarium in the lobby you will enjoy seeing along with a tennis court and fitness activities and spa choices. But we spent most of our three days out and about.

The Italian restaurant was expensive but very good the pizza in the lobby bar was good, but the Makana Lani restaurant would be the worst restaurant in Waikiki. Do Not take the breakfast included in your booking, we did and on the first day we went late and thought they had started clearing the breakfast on the second day were early and it was the same I have been in 3 start hotels which had a far superior breakfast. If you have booked the breakfast don’t be shy and go to reception and ask for your money (I did) they will refund without any problem.
If I were the general manager ( Rafael Torres)
I would pay the breakfast a visit because it’s turning his hotel into a 3 star.

Huge disappointment!
Nov 3, 2024Susie DNashville, Tennessee
Two family members paid for Ocean View rooms. You had to stand in a corner to even see the ocean. The view was all concrete unattractive buildings. They advertise in room dining but there is no information in the room to guide you on how to access it. This was a huge disappointment.

Super okay. I was pretty disappointed when we checked into our room. The hotel looks so nice on the outside but then you check into the room and it’s basically a motel 6. The hallways smelt terrible, there was constant noise and there was paint coming off the walls and mold in the ceiling in the hallway. I will say the amenities are great you just…
