Its poolside tiki bar provides sunbathing snacks, but you also get full access to the dining and drinking venues at The Don CeSar Hotel, including its ice cream shop; The Rowe Bar, with coastal cuisine and cocktails served on a deck over sand dunes; and Maritana Grille, voted one of USA Today’s 10 best restaurants.

First time at a Don Cesar property and it won't be our last. Th room at the Beach House was very nice and roomy. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. I love that they have a shuttle to the main resort at no charge. The front desk staff are truly amazing. We will be returning!!

Started off being welcomed by Donnie who was fantastic with an overview & suggestions of things to do in the local area. Bartenders Chris and Tasha are awesome with great drinks plus super good food. Started off being welcomed by Donnie who was fantastic with an overview & suggestions of things to do in the local area. Bartenders Chris and Tasha are awesome with great drinks plus super good food. The best for last, Fabian the beach attendant. Hardest working beach attendant ever and the main reason we will return to this property. Resort is as advertised plus unlimited access to the Don Cesar resort just down the beach. Yes there is a nightly resort fee and yes there is a nightly parking fee. But sometimes you get what you pay for which is ok as this place is the perfect example of first class. We will be back .... Read less

Everything about this stay has been perfect! The entire staff has been so incredibly accommodating. The rooms are beautifully kept and the housekeeping services are so meticulous and thorough. We are traveling with 5 from ages 9-78. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Not a “luxury” resort, but good 3-star beach motel for a lowered price than we paid

If you’re looking for a “luxury” 4-star resort, this isn’t it. Lower your expectations and expect a beach motel/inn that has renovated rooms. If you’re looking for a “luxury” 4-star resort, this isn’t it. Lower your expectations and expect a beach motel/inn that has renovated rooms. For the price, there should be a better description of what you’re actually getting. There are many great aspects of this beach motel, but the prices they charge for what they offer don’t match (they charged us $600-700 per night and this is worth $200-300 at best). We traveled here for a family staycation and stayed in the family suite. Our room was spacious and had a bunk bed bedroom for the kids plus a great view of the beach. Pros: Spacious room, beautiful private beach, pool and outdoor area is well kept, pool and outdoor area not very busy, good drinks by pool, great view from the room, all rooms have balconies (most are spacious but ours was very small since we opted for a bigger room), kitchenette in rooms, towels are comfortable, beds comfortable, nice front desk staff, you can walk to a Publix/chickfila/starbucks nearby and there’s a few restaurants kind of in walking distance if it wasn’t summer, shuttle service can take you within a mile of the hotel they said but we didn’t use it, and being able to use the amenities at the Don Cesar is a nice plus. Great place to bring kids since rooms are more spacious and there’s the kitchenettes. Cons: Advertised as a luxury 4-star resort and it is far from that. No real lobby area like large hotels have just a check in desk with small shop similar to a motel. Elevators not air conditioned and didn’t work briefly one of the days. Parking is an extra $28 per day. Some of the housekeeping staff doesn’t clean unless you ask them too even though they’re supposed to and when they do they do a lackluster job. Plus when you ask they act like it’s an inconvenience when it’s supposed to be one of the main things you pay for. On the first two days we had a wonderful housekeeping lady who was fairly attentive to detail but afterwards we didn’t even have our bed made properly or sheets changed at all during the entire week we stayed, floors were not cleaned, nothing wiped down, and even though we were told to request a time around our children’s nap time they never once came without us having to call first. For the cost of the room, there should be much better service. When talking with the manager there were always excuses like “they do it at random” and “it’s a new girl being trained” when we were told specifically to let them know the times we would like it done and have seen multiple different staff each day in charge of cleaning not just one new person. Overall if we had paid $200-300 per night for our room and would’ve expected it to be more of a 3 star beach motel/inn, it would have been a much better experience. There were a lot of really wonderful things about the property and for the right price we would definitely come back. They just need to improve some of their housekeeping staff members and be more transparent in their advertising. Read less
