We have been going to Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos for 14 years. Our boys grew up going there in the summers and have some great memories there, we all do as a family. Our first year we stayed in the Caribbean Village, the next several years we stayed in the Italian Village then once the Key West Village was built we have been staying there since. We got back yesterday from our yearly vacation. I am so sad to say that we possibly may not be returning. I requested a first floor room when making the reservation but was given a 3rd floor room. I do realize request are not guaranteed. They main problem was once we checked into the room the cold water would not work in the second bathroom. It took two flushes for the toilet to properly flush and the water pressure was so low no one could shower. Also the telephone did not work in the room so we had to walk back to the reception to have our issues addressed. They assured us maintenance would have everything fixed before we returned from dinner. Unfortunately nothing had been fixed and we had to walk back to reception to speak with them a second time. Only then did they offer us to move to a different room the next day. This was very inconvenient because we would have all liked to have been able to unpack and settle in upon arrival. We were not moved to the new room until the next day around 3pm. They told us to have our luggage ready to move by 11am but could not guarantee we would be moved to the new room until 3pm. We did get moved and all was good in the new room except the water pressure was still low and the phone would not work in that room either. The room was on the first floor so that was a plus. I met another lady complaining about the water pressure. Upon arrival Shelly approached us and asked if we would like to schedule beach pictures of course we did, unfortunately Shelly did not show up for the scheduled appointment. They did have someone else to take our pictures but we had to wait about 25 minutes because the photographer was with another family. The staff and service is NOT what it used to be unfortunately. One of the staff members actually told my husband they are planning a staff wide "sick out". This is supposed to happen for two days, today and tomorrow. Due to Beaches Resort only paying them $8 minimum wage. I was shocked to learn the staff only makes minimum wage, as much as we pay for our vacation. We did not have Butler Service this year, getting beach chairs were impossible. Read less

Multi-generational family of 9 stayed for 5 nights in 3 rooms in the French Village. We chose this resort for its attentiveness to food allergies, since we have 2 children with life-threatening food allergies. We were not disappointed. More on that later. Our airport pickup went smoothly, and after we were dropped off in the French Village lobby, we were greeted with fruity drinks, champagne, and lemon-scented cool washcloths. The staff at this resort was so friendly throughout our stay. There must be hundreds of staff members, they are easy to find everywhere on this vast resort. We were walked to our 3 rooms, which were situated reasonably close to one another, but not adjoining. Each of our rooms had an adjoining room, connected by a door (which doesn't appear to be able to be locked). A "Juliet" balcony (just a few inches deep with a cast iron railing) beyond sliding glass doors gave us a view of the French Village pool. The room is spacious with a large flatscreen TV and fridge stocked with free bottled water and soft drinks. Beds were comfortable. If you want more pillows or blankets just look in the closet, they are in there. There are two sinks, one in the bathroom and another just outside the bathroom, which is a nice touch. Each sink has a large magnification mirror on a swivel arm. There are bathrobes (adult and kid-sized but we didn't use them). There is a microwave, we used this to heat up leftover pizza from the previous day's lunch. I had to plug it in and read the directions on the inside of the microwave door, but eventually figured it out. The best thing about this resort was the size and layout. It is sprawling, with numerous pathways amid lush vegetation. The beauty of the landscaping is better in my opinion than anything Hawaii has to offer. Every few feet is a different photo op, whether as a backdrop to family photos or to take photos of nature itself. It helps the resort feel private, even though it is crowded. We found it easy to get around and quick to walk from one area to another. Every restaurant is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with most you are able to sit outside and eat. For those with food allergies, a quick meeting at the Culinary Concierge put all our fears at rest. They are very serious about it, registering all your allergies in their computer system, along with your Epi-Pen information, giving strict warnings not to eat at buffets, and telling you which places were safe from kitchen cross-contamination. They have a plan-ahead system where you drop off sheets each afternoon that contain where you are going to eat the next day; these are passed onto the chefs. Even if your scheduled plan changes, every waiter we encountered asked about food allergies up front and had the chef come out to meet with you in case you had not filled out a sheet for that restaurant. Sometimes the people with allergies got their food brought out first. In addition, every day you can pick up a variety box of desserts that are allergen-free, since a lot of desserts on property contain allergens. Our favorite restaurants were Schooners, Sky, Cricketer's Pub, Bombay Club (best Indian food), the Jerk Chicken and Curls & Swirls food trucks. We could not get a reservation at Kimono's. Dinners at Sky are 12 and up. One note: if you order a steak or burger medium rare, it is quite red, and even medium is more pink than what we are used to in the USA. We also used the gyms almost every day of our vacation. We went snorkeling and some of us did paddleboarding and the glass-bottom boat tour. But the best part is just being on the beautiful beach with the clean gentle water and soft sand. The sun is intense for the first half of the day and gets better in the afternoon. Everyone was very friendly. Most guests are from the USA. The staff speak English and Creole. Sometimes when on the beach someone would come and take our drink order. It is very casual and nice, eating and just leaving our table when finished. We had pretty quick service everywhere except at Le Petit Chapeau, where we waited 2 hours for our food. Fountain drinks taste different than in the USA. Overall this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us and we really enjoyed relaxing and being with family here! Read less

We recently stayed at Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos for the 4th of July weekend and were unfortunately met with numerous disappointments. Although the resort boasts nice amenities, our overall experience was far from satisfactory. First, the rooms were a significant letdown. They were dated and not well-maintained, which was disappointing given the premium price we paid for our stay. The lack of upkeep was evident and detracted from the resort’s overall appeal. However, the most frustrating aspects were the service and the quality of food at the resort’s restaurants. Despite having multiple dining options, we faced long waits at each one. It took at least 30 minutes just to be seated and over an hour to receive our food. On several occasions, our orders were completely forgotten, forcing us to leave without dining. The quality of the food was extremely disappointing as well. From the breakfast buffet to the various dining options, the food lacked flavor and quality, far below the standard one would expect from a resort of this caliber. While the resort does offer good amenities, the poor customer service and subpar food quality were deal breakers. Based on this experience, we would not consider returning to Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos. If you value quality dining and efficient service during your vacation, this may not be the best choice. Read less

We booked through Michael McHugh at Dream Makers Vacation. He really helped set everything up and answered all questions- checked in before during and after to make sure we were having fun! I would absolutely use them again. The resort is beautiful of course. I would not recommend concierge - there’s no real benefit apart from drinks in the room which is zero issue at an all inclusive. Save your money! Seaside was beautiful- if I was to go back- Perhaps I’d try Key West. My girl found peers/ friends midway through the week- and they were inseparable from that point on. Made the vaca more enjoyable for her. Staff were fantastic- shoutout to Qu in concierge who greeted us, we loved him. Tabitha , a server in Key West- and Debbie our room cleaner. She bonded w my teen son who never wanted to leave the room midday to take a break from the heat. June was HOT HOT HOT. Stifling. I can’t say I’ll return in June. Apart from that , Ignore the bad reviews (we w countered none of what people complain about, including finding chairs) and go. Everyone who’s interested should visit here once for the beautiful resort and water. Read less
