I have just returned from Blue Horizons and would not hesitate to stay here again, when we arrived we were greeted by the owner with a complimentary rum punch drink, we were shown to our room which is like a little bungalow room located in the grounds beautiful gardens. The room has air conditioning and a fan above the bed with a shower room and a kitchen area. We also had a nice balcony area to sit and admire the beautiful gardens. Most days we had the pool area to ourselves with bar staff on standby to supply us with food and drinks. The bar served a fantastic range of drinks and amazing cocktails at very reasonable prices. The food the hotel served was very nice with a good selection. The hotel is located a small 5 minute walk from Grand Anse beach which is the longest beach on the island with clear blue water with lots of fish and coral. A small 15 minute walk is BBC beach which is also very good. The hotel is also close to local restaurants and a shopping mall with a great supermarket stocking a good range of fresh food. The hotel is in a great location and is only 10 minutes from the airport as well. I cannot wait to come back to Blue Horizons and have some more relaxing times. Read less

In our opinion this is an absolutely fabulous resort. A most relaxing and calming location to arrive to following a very long flight. Greeted by the owner and given a welcome drink. We found the grounds well maintained and designed almost like a botanical garden. The bar and restaurant was well stocked with great spirits, and they made some fantastic cocktails. The lunch and dinner menus and service were really good, so good we did not feel guilty during the evenings we did not venture out to eat. The restaurant in our opinion was as good as and possibly better than some of the recommended restaurants e.g. Sails which we ate at. Breakfast was located in a building a little further up from our accommodation. Being on a hill, whilst having your breakfast, you had some great views to the sea. Our accommodation was cosy and comfortably despite having a neighbours we still felt it was private when sitting on the balcony. All staff including the groundsmen were friendly always greeting you when they passed, although this is very natural in Grenada. This however contributed to our lovely stay. Read less

We loved breakfast at La Belle Creole, the food was incredible, I could get used to several courses for breakfast! The teams were super friendly too – Mary in reservations and the team in both restaurants were fantastic. The rooms were large and clean, we loved having a drink on our balcony as the sun was setting. The hotel arranged a lovely honeymoon treat in the room, decorating the bed in flowers and leaving a lovely note from the owner too - such great attention to detail. We will be back! Read less

I had a lovely time staying at the Blue Horizons resort. The location is picturesque and close to the famous Grand Anse beach and other local amenities. The front of house staff were amazing, and showed a high level of professionalism at all times. I arrived at the hotel on a bank holiday which I was not aware of, as most people who book holidays don't worry about this. Given this information, I chose to eat at the hotel restaurant and I ordered a main, a dessert and a drink in which I was very satisfied. A few hours later, I felt a feeling of malaise, and unfortunately, I vomited. I had some oral rehydration salts available to avoid becoming dehydrated. I brought this matter up to the staff at the reception in which they escalated this matter to the owner. I was instructed to speak to the owner of the hotel resort. I managed to speak to the owner and he came across as defensive when I spoke about my experience with the meal. I found him to be condescending and unprofessional. He then went off on a tangent about all of the checks and balances that he does which was irrelevant to my issue. I was made to feel like somehow I was in the wrong for raising the issue about being unwell. Customers have a right to bring up any issues or worries that they encounter during their stay, as the customer is always right. No offence should be taken in general as this comes with the role of being an owner. Eventually, the matter was looked into and a timeline of events were compiled, and even then the owner was patronizing when going through the timeline. Eventually, the manager was reasonable and understanding and I was given some compensation. I was allowed a late check out which was extremely helpful and a meal free of charge which was a nice gesture. My overall stay at the hotel was excellent, but my overall experience with the owner was unsatisfactory, bearing in mind, this was not my first time staying at the hotel. Despite this experience, I will not allow this to affect my future stay at this hotel. Read less
